I'm tempted to buy the First Lady Suite from iTunes. Who's heard the whole thing? Buy it, or no??
Okay...its finally happened. After insistent asking (read: nagging), I have made the leap into the world of myspace.

Oh won't you be my friend....
done. and tell kat that the video, although very dangerous, was extremely hilarious.
Sarah,
I have the "First Lady Suite". Are you familiar with Michael John LaChiusa's work? It's very intricate and demands more than one listening to fully appreciate it. In fact, for most people this work did not impress them the first time around, but with each listening they've come to appreciate it more and more.
Greg is the only male voice you hear in the whole production. It's divided into 3 acts - with the first act's subject's being Jackie Kennedy and Lady Bird Johnson. Act II is Mamie Eisenhower, and Act III is Eleanor Roosevelt. Greg only has a tiny line or two in Act I and he isn't in Act III at all. In Act II he plays General Eisenhower and has a much larger presence. You still have to remember that this play was about the first ladies - so the part of the General is still secondary. Also remember that LaChiusa is not Richard Rogers. Don't go looking for romantic melodies and waltzes because you're not going to find them here!
Personally the CD is worth having for me if only to hear Greg sing:
"Tomorrow I will love you more.
Honest, Mamie,
Tomorrow I will love you more....
I'll share your bed at night.
And I'll hold you in my arms till dawn.
Forever I will love you more."
(When your name is Mamie you just don't get to hear it mentioned in any song very often, let alone in a romantic context by Greg Jbara!)
Jonathon Pryce is the interviewee on the latest American theater Wing podcast.
the Friends episode with greg is on TBS right now!
he hasn't been on yet, but hurry!
and it's over. good episode though.
any other requests for the radio show?
Dre,
I'd enjoy hearing some selections from the OBC of "No Strings" and the revival cast of "Flower Drum Song".

Thanks for the feedback, Mamie. Looks like I'll be passing on it for the time being. Eventually, I suppose I'll pick up Greg's tracks, but it doesn't sound interesting to me. So, thanks for saving me the $10.
I have returned to BWW!
I know you all missed the RPotD too much, I couldn't last more than a few days.
