And now for my Panda-esque Post:
When we were in line waiting to be let into the auditorium some girl just said, matter-a-factly, “Look, it’s Anthony”. I have never in my life seen so many people stand up at once before. It was so strange. But she was right. There he was. Anthony Rapp outside walking up to the building. It was funny though because we freaked when all we did was see him through the window but when he came in the doors and there he was, right in front of us, we didn’t do a thing. There was no cheering. No yelling out his name. No screaming fangirls. Just, silence. It was as though we were in the presence of royalty or something. After walking through the door he just smiled and gave a quick wave to everyone and then made his way to the room where the thing was going to be held.
His hair was longer then it was in Syracuse. Very, I-want-to-rub-my-fingers-through-it...hair.
He read from the chapter ‘We Begin’ (thankfully it was not ‘Glory’ because that’s what he read in Syracuse.) and told us it was called that because ‘We begin’ are the very first words spoken in the stage version of RENT. I had never made that connection before.
Now, I love listening to Anthony read. It’s just so peaceful. I can get lost in his voice and just hear him. Everything else just fades to the background. I love that he can do that to me.
Q&A:
One person asked what he thought of the ‘Everybody Has AIDS’ song from Team America and his reaction was the greatest thing I have ever witnessed in my life. This is was he said. *Enthusiastically* “OMG I Peed!” The entire audience laughed hysterically. It was amazing. Then the next question was what the people he wrote about thought of having their sexual experiences with Anthony in the book. Specifically the one on page 160. Anthony got up, reached for his book, and was just like, “Ah, You mean the blowjob.” I couldn't believe it. In the course of a few minutes I witnessed Little dorky Anthony Rapp talking about blowjobs and how he peed watching a movie. How weird is that?
And the last question that’s worth mentioning was one that totally took Anthony for a loop. It was the most awkwardly retarded question ever, and I felt bad for Anthony for having to answer it. This girl asked Anthony if he personally felt lonely and left out when filming La Vie Boheme. What is that? Anthony was just like, “Um, no.” And she went on to tell us why she asked. She thought that because Mark is all alone during that scene, meaning he doesn’t have anyone to be with specifically at the very end of Boheme B that Anthony would have felt left out of the group. He turned it all around and said that she was totally wrong and that that scene was the most fun to film, and he had the best time with it. He didn’t feel lonely or left out of anything at all. She seamed quite disappointed by his answer.
He had also been asked to sing Loosing my Religion *Insert Jess screaming really loud and Anthony looking straight at her and I and saying ‘Thank you’* but he didn’t say that he would sing that, just that he would sing at the end of the Q&A. However, he did end up singing part of Loosing my Religion and then went straight into Seasons of Love. It was beautiful.
People literally jumped up to get a good spot in the line. Many didn’t even wait for Anthony to stop talking and leave the stage. I found that to be quite rude. Jess and I just made ourselves comfortable because we weren't going in the line just then. I called Panda and told her about the signing thus far.
After about an hour and a half Jess and I got in line. When we were waiting though we noticed that he was not taking any pictures with anyone. They were just having ‘Dan Kay’ take pictures of Anthony signing their things.

When there were about 10 people in front of us ‘Dan Kay’ had left and only then did Anthony take a picture with anyone. It was funny though because one girl was behind the table with him and someone was about to take the picture when another girl walked up to the table and got right in the way. Anthony joked, “That’s why we weren't doing pictures before.” And the poor girl blushed a dozen shades of red. The next few people all took pictures with him as well and Anthony told one girl not to tell anyone who was inline in front of her that she got a picture. He didn’t want her to “loose any friends because of [me] him”. That was cute.
We both went up to the table at the same time and I sat my stuff for him to sign on the table. This is pretty much how our conversation went.
Anthony: *Takes the 'Hello Nicky' poster I brought* “Ah, hello Nicky. How are you?”
Me: “I’m great thanks, but actually my names Traci. This is just for a friend of mine.”
Anthony: “Aw, I’m sorry Traci.”
Me: “It’s ok. How are you?”
Anthony: “I’m good thank you.”
Anthony: *Takes the CD I brought* “Would you like me to sign the outside or the booklet itself?”
Me: “Actually, if you wouldn’t mind could you sign the actual CD?”
Anthony: “Sure” *Opens the case* “HaHaHa”
Me: “I had to pause the DVD with the subtitles on to figure out how to spell that right.” (referring to ‘Fantabarrificous’ from his movie Open House)
Anthony: “Clever”
Me: “I love that movie so much. It’s just so fun and funny and silly. You can't help but laugh when watching it.”
Anthony: “I’m so glad you like it. I had a lot of fun making it.”
Me: “I could tell. Um, one more thing” *Hands him DVD* *He signs it* “Thank you so much. You are too sweet.”
Anthony: “Thank you. *Jess hands him her book* “Actually I usually always sign this page here.” *Opens book to said page*
Jess: “Ok, sure. Whatever page you want to sign is fine.”
Anthony: *As he’s signing* “You know, if you two were in the middle of the line I wouldn’t be writing all this for you.”
Jess: “Yeah, we figured. But thank you for doing it for us.”
Anthony: “Your welcome girls.”
Me: “Um, we tried to make sure we were the last people in line *looks over shoulder* but as you can see that didn’t work out too well. Anyways, If we were to wait until they all went could I maybe get a Tango picture.”
Anthony: “Sure, of course”
Me and Jess: “Thank you”
Anthony: “I’ll see you in a few, OK” *waves*
Jess and Me: *Waves back*
Note Jess didn't say too much. Sje was basically just mailing like an idiot the whole time and when he talked to her she just blushed. She's so star struck. lol.
After everyone behind us went he came up to Jess and I and said we’d do the tango picture. Jess went first. It was cute to watch Anthony get into the stance for the pose. He was all ready and Jess told him that he’d have to tell her what to do. LoL. He explained what she had to do and she couldn't get the right foot in the right place. He said to put the foot next to his and she just didn’t get it right. He was just laughing about it. Once she got that foot right he said to put the other leg out and to point her toe. Once in the pose he looked to me and said, “Traci, your paying attention right?” “Yeah, I’ve got it.” The picture turned out very cute.
I went up and stood next to Anthony. He got into the stance and I right away put my foot where it was supposed to be and joked with Jess, “See, this is where your foot was supposed to go.” Once I had my foot in place he put his arm around my waist. *Swoon* He told me the same thing as he told Jess. To put my leg out and to point my toe. I did but because my other leg wasn't bent I started to loose balance and fall. Anthony tightened his grip on my waist and held me up so I didn’t go Splat onto the floor. LoL. I turned to him and mouthed ‘Thank you’ and he mouthed back ‘Your welcome’. He said out loud though, “Traci, I thought you were paying attention. Now bend your leg!” Jokingly of course. I did. Then he took my hand and placed it onto his shoulder and told me to hold his other hand. (Gah, his hands are so soft) We sort of laughed at each other, well, at me actually and Jess took the picture.
After we were done with the pictures we all just stood around with Anthony for awhile, while we waited for his driver to get him at 11. He joked that none of us girls paid enough attention when he was showing the Tango pose to Jess, (he ended up taking three more after me) so I said, “But we didn’t have months of practice”. Anthony laughed. We all talked about RENT mostly. He was asked what his favorite song was. I said ‘I’ll Cover You (Reprise)’ in my head. And I was right. When it got to be 11 he said our goodbye to the group and to Anthony. On our way out we passed Anthony’s driver who was on his way upstairs. He was wearing this cute little driver’s hat. LoL.
It was a great night. Though I'm still pissed that I haven't got my Tango Picture anymore. But it's all ok.
I'll post a link to pictures and videos for whoever wants to see them once there all uploaded.
And now I've realized that I put way too much detail into things when I write and this is probably longer them Panda's long posts. I'm sorry about that.
