Well you'll show them all someday!
GOODNIGHT!
Hmm, I can't decide if I'm above this or just suck a lot? My previous posts sound like those of a suck-a-lot.
it's ok. I tried out for a lot of **** and never got anything. I auditioned for Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in a neighboring town. and I didn't get it. when i went to see it, the girl playing the part I wanted was SOOO boring and actually did not look like she was having fun on stage. not cool.
So glad you had a good time seeing Anthony. isn't he just great. I guess there will be two Anthony filled posts in the AM as I still have to post about yesterday.
And now I'm off to bed. Night everyone.
Well I could make your post for you Traci...
but I'm too nice to take away a long post oppertunity, since I do to many anyway
Anyway, briefly(famous last words...), Rachelle was fantastic tonight! All she did the first act was cross over twice and everyone else was great, but finally she did her song in the second act. It was called "I'm Available" from Mr. Wonderful, originally sung by Chita. She put on a funny voice and handed out headshots of herself, and the song was about well I'm available...for parts, auditions, etc. Of course, there was a whole lotta dancing, countered by great singing in the beginning and end. And she did 2 splits! Stayed in one for a while, and the second one she totally jumped down...granted I'm sure it hurt the La Cage boys more, but it still looked painful!
Anyway, it was great. When they announced her, people politely clapped, but there was definitely less, lower clapping than for like...Emily Skinner. But having seen her at Town Hall before, I knew that would change. Sure enough, she got the loudest cheers and the first encore bow of the night. But then for her encore, she ran out and said something like...her mom taught her to do a cartwheel to impress them...so she starts to do a cartwheel and you're like huh? I mean what's so great about cartwheels?
Well, cartwheels are AMAZING...when you cartwheel into a split. That's what she did. WOOW. Lots more cheers.
The rest of the show was pretty great too. It was shows from 1956, so I knew My Fair Lady would be there, but I totally forgot Candide was that year too! Bernstein! yaay! So hearing those songs live, gah w/ an orchestra. The reed player/clarinetist was AMAZING. Someone else in the audience actually applauded after his solo, it was great!
But Ashley Brown was the other standout of the night. Man, that girl could sing...high. Also great performances from Marc Kudish(he has hair--it's so weird!), Brent Barrett, Christine Andreas(who played Eliza Doolittle in the first revival of My Fair Lady, so it was great that she sang a couple of the songs tonight), and Emily Skinner.
Tomorrow shall be exciting.

So I don't have time for a detailed post now, but I will try to make one after softball practice! And he is the sweetest person ever, minus Greg Jbara of course!
Julia, I couldn't agree more, but no need to compare--they're both extremely nice. But I always said he reminds me so much of Greg, and Traci agrees, so yeah he's awesome. See, talking about Anthony is slightly ontopic...
Yaay for extremely nice actors!
And I'm going to see Adam Pascal in concert tonight!
*Bounce*
Helloooooo everyone.
meghan! 3 days! so, on Saturday, you'll see the oh so great J7bara?
In four days i'll see J-seven-bara!! AHHHHH.
I can't pay attention in class or anything. My stomach is all knotted with excitement. AND FEAR!
Don't be afraid! He doesn't bite. Unless you are made out of peanut butter. You are going to have a great time. Can't wait to hear all about it.
hhaha but my DAD is going to be there. He's the most awkward man of all time! He's not into arts...he's a GYM TEACHER! lol
Thank you Panda for allowing me to post about my own experience at Anthony's signing. That was very nice of you.
And don't rub it in about tonight!
Meghan, it doesn't matter. Greg has a way of making you feel comfortable no matter who or what you are. Even your father will love him.

malki, i seriously thought you said: he doesn't bite. unless you are made out of peanut butter. then you will have a great time.
i'm tired and read it quickly. leave me alone. haha.
I bet even the food Greg eats thinks he's nice.
They have long discussions about it while they're in his stomach.
Yes, Traci, that was extremely nice of me.
Me?? Rub things in to you? Pssh, what an absurd idea!
Dre, I was on the phone with my mother when I read your post. I had to bite my lip to stop myslef from laughing. I guess if you read what I wrote a little too quickly it would sound like that.
The Greg Thread does NOT belong on the 2nd page.
And I miss Kerrie and Liz and Cat.
(Not really Cat though).
sorry malki! haha
I am really pissed right now. I'm trying to get experience as stage manager but I am never given the opportunity. For this 24 hour show that we are doing this weekend (write little scene, rehearsal, tech and perform in 24 hours), I really wanted stage manager and I thought, since it is a small thing, i would be able to get experience. but no, they put me right where I ahve been stuck this whole year. props. don;t get me wrong, i like it. but I really wanted stage manager. just makes me so mad!!!!!! feel like crying but I have to get ready for call cause show goes on at 8. so tired too.
Take all the props and run away until they let you be stage manager.

Okay, this is my attempt at an Amanda-esque post. Here goes... So our softball game started at 7 and the field is about 35-40 minutes away from the place Anthony would be talking. I left the game at about 7:45ish (we were up 3-0 which is the only way i got to leave) and a friend of mine who was in our seats (we got reserved tickets) texted me to at 8:10 to say they dimmed the lights.. basically the only thing i missed was him saying that this was the most enthusiastic crowd he had spoken to (yeah we don't get very many famous people around these parts). So i got there and found a seat (couldn't find my friend, didn't want to disrupt a bunch of people) and about five minutes after i sat down he began reading from the book. It was great to hear him read what he had written, it kind of brought it to life better than just reading did. Once he had read the section he wanted to we started the Q & A section and I found my friend while they were setting up the mic. I don't remember all of the questions (naturally) but I'll tell the ones I do.
-One girl asked what his favorite song to perform in Rent was, which was a good question. He said it was What You Own. Well a few questions later a girl asked who his favorite person was in the Rent cast to sing with. Now honestly one can assume that the answer would be Adam Pascal because that is who he sings with in What You Own. That frustrated me a little but it was cute when he answered he was like "Adam Pascal. Uh, um, yeah. I don't know what else to say but Adam Pascal. Yes. Adam. Yes." It was great.
-Another person got up to ask a question and she started out asking how it was to live a blonde life and then she went into a story about how her family went to New York and saw Mamma Mia and Rent. Anthony interrupted her and started singing "One of these things is not like the other one..." it was HI-larious. Then he broke in to "Dancing Queen" which was also funny. I don't have any clue what her question was... yeah.
-One guy was dressed like Mark and when he got to the mic Anthony was like "Ohh a Mark scarf! That's like one word on the internet... markscarf." And the kid goes, "Hey that's my screen name... just kidding." To which Anthony replied, "Wouldn't suprise me." Ha.. it was funny.
After the question session was over he sang for us. He sand "Seasons of Love" acapella (sp?) and it was AMAZING! I videoed it (i actually didnt get the WHOLE song) with my camera and I don't know if I'm going to post it online because I figure if there is any question about legality it would be better to have for my own use than for everyone in the world, but if one of you would like to see it i may upload it and send it to you in a pm.
Okay I'm skipping to the signing part now.. I had my book with me but my friend doesn't have one so we had to be in two separate lines--they let people with books go first. When I got on the stage my stomach was all twisted and boy i was nervous. I finally got to the table and after he signed (keep in mind i had my softball uniform on) he asked if i played basketball and i told him i had a softball game at 7 and that it was a rush to get here. he asked if we won (which we did) and then he told me that he was a baseball fan and he liked the Cubs and asked me who i liked (the Braves). They didn't let any one take pictures with him for the sake of time, but that was alright. He was as sweet as he could be to everyone there and I am so thrilled that I had a chance to meet him. It was such a GREAT night!
Maybe I can make some peanut butter body lotion for us all.
