Hey Greg!
Did this cam decide to stop working before Meghan got there? That would be awful!
I wonder what they were all talking about?
Wow. Greg, Norbert, and John all together. What's the occassion?

Is it so unusual for three stars of the same show who work at the same theatre to hang out and chat? lol
Oh, Mamie ... Meghan and her dad are supposed to be at this evening's show. Greg has asked if I'd stay up a little late so they can make an appearance on the cam. (He knows that sometimes I hit the sack not long after it's over, after I've posted the highlights.) I told him I'd be happy to. So hopefully you'll be seeing her and her dad on cam after the show. Not sure just when ... but as regular viewers know, it's not over until the offline image goes back up. And stays. :)
edit: Conviction ... true, Liz ... but since the original air date was April 21st, we're still getting it much earlier than that, though a bit later than the earliest air date that's been given. See?

That's my name, don't wear it outtttt!
Ooh, that reminds me, I forgot to tell about Jonathan on Theatre Talk last night!
Let's see...it was recorded a while ago, soon after his official press opening.
He said one of the biggest factors in him deciding to come back to Broadway in DRS was the oppertunity to work with someone as talented as Norbert. Also mentioned how welcoming and sweet the cast is, and he loves working with all of them (of course!)
He never technically had any professional music training. He studied drama in college, so he did take some voice lessons there, but it was always just something he "could do." He started out in low-paying political theatre (mostly liberal) and the first professional musical he ever did was Miss Saigon.
They talked about the reviews he was getting--how he planned not to read them, but knew people would tell him if they were good, and wouldn't say anything if they were bad. And someone tried to say something but he yelled at them about the good/bad thing until the guy told him no, they're good. He also said he thinks reviews count more here than in London. And Michael Reidel pointed out that he's like never gotten bad reviews.
Umm, some interesting My Fair Lady story about how the main Eliza was out a lot, and he was always working with different ones and such. He thinks that's planning to come over here the end of 2007 (yaay!) and...at least for now, he's committed to DRS.
Oh yeah...he also talked about how watching the show he thought Norbert would have to do all the work and he'd just get to come out in suave suits, but can't believe how much work his part is as well. And something like...he had an odd reaction to the set at first but as the show went on, couldn't believe how appropriate it was and how great it was. And he loves how the show is a throwback to those kinds of 50s/60s French Riviera movies like the Pink Panther.
Oh, and he's seen bits of pieces of the DRS movie on late night movie channels, like I/we have
Aww thanks Barb (for Meghan). Have you been worked pretty hard lately, or just naturally go to bed around that time?
Wait a minute actually...how HAVE you been? I don't think I've asked in a little while.

Amanda, I have crazy sleeping habits that don't necessarily have to do with this or that. I guess I have bouts of insomnia and then make up for it. So I could be up until 3 for a few nights in a row and then have to make up for it by going to bed early and/or grabbing daytime naps when I can. I have to be up around 6:30 weekdays, and I'm not much of a morning person.
Does that sound more like a teenager than a 40-something year old? lol
It definitely does! Way to go Barb, keeping your youth intact! :-P
I'm not a morning person either. That's why when possible, I sleep through the entire morning
But that aside, how's life otherwise?
wow. had a great (yet interesting) experience with 24 hour performance. I wrote a Law and Order spoof with two other people. The theme this year was some how, you had to have a mannequin in every play that you write. it can be anything: a person, a log, a bench, whatever. In our spoof, we had it as a suspect. and the best part of it was that I found the person speaking the beginning part sound online and the theme song and the "Dun Dun" noise. here it is if you want to read it:
