Thank you so much for that last part, Meghan. It was wonderful. Just like being there yourself! I'm so glad you got to go and that everything was as wonderful as it was. It's a memory that will stay with you forever!
You're more than welcome Mamie!
So does this mean I'm in the GFU now?
uhhh. not quite sure. you have to ask cat and/or/or kerrie.
love the pic with greg's tongue sticking out while he plays with his phone.
Personally, I think you more than qualify to be in GFU, Meghan.
I am going to bed now I hate the time difference from here to NYC, it means I can never watch the entire Gregcam on school-nights.
Thanks for a fun night everyone! Goodniiiiight.
ps thank you Traci!
I think you have to make Liz a sandwich if you even want to be considered.
love your sig. mary.
did you ever become a GFUer mary?
This is kind of weird. I'm on here - watching the cam - and suddenly I hear Jonathan's voice yelling out. (There's a James Bond movie on out in the other room and J's playing a really nasty guy.) Of course, since seeing him with Norbert it's going to be awfully hard to take him seriously as a baddie!
roving cam = not sleeping
oops.
i see UNDIES
that is funny mamie!
damn, missed that pic.
Okay. For real. Goodnight!
Night Meghan.
I don't believe we've ever looked out the window at night before!
Dre, I've been in GFU for ages.
I'm going to Avenue Q! I'm not going on Tuesday anymore though now, and my parents were really mad at dissapointed because I'm "irresponsible". I mean, I'm paying for the volleyball thing I can't go to and calling the guy first thing tomorrow so someone else can take my spot. I get straight A's (all A's and A+'s so far this year), and I'm not a bad kid. My dad said he wasn't sure that "Avenue Q was completely appropriate for me" I wanted to tell him I've heard worse things in school from other students. Apparently he thinks I'm an immature 7th grade boy.
So they were mad and upset but I'm going! (I do have a bad feeling about this though...)
Greg must be hungry judging by these live cam shots.
For those who haven't been there - that last pic was of the D&D Greg goes to for his lunch sandwiches.
I thought he said that placed closed.
I'm sorry mary. what grade are you in now? oh, and what were the answers to those math questions? what did your teacher say the answers were?
No - the Dean & Deluca is open. It's right across the street. The other deli (the one that closed) was around the corner on 8th ave.
ah. ok. got it.
slideshow is up! awesome job barb!
Well I missed the night webcam, but on the plus side I got a new car. Well, not new but newer. Goodbye to the '96 Corsica and hello to the '02 Stratus. Anyway, with the money we saved Mom said maybe we can go to NYC this summer which means I may FINALLY get to see Greg <3
Ohh, I wouldn't call that the longest post ever Meghan...
But I love hearing/witnessing these stories. It sounds heavenly for you. I'm so happy! I think Greg just really likes his pom pilot b/c he often gets it out to direct ppl to restaurants. Or maybe he likes restaurants. Or both...
Well, not too much time to post about it now, but Wedding Singer has a messed-up preview schedule so there was no matinee today. After losing Wicked lotto and realizing there wasn't too many matinees today, I ended up at Barefoot At The Park, which I have wanted to see. I just figured I'd TDF it since otherwise the cheap seats are in the balcony. But I figured whatever. Ooh, and as I was pulling up I saw Patrick Wilson pass me on his cell phone. Hehe.
Ulgh, his probably won't be a brief version. I'm staying at my friend's house, we're...watching...a West Side Story tour. I'm so excited! It's so great! Marcy Hariell was Maria. Anyway, she's putting away clothes while she watches so i kidnapped her computer so I guess I'll post while I watch. Gah, this is amazing!
Okay back to earlier...I was so pissed. I saw 2 shows and had a dinner and what did I pay the most for today? PARKING! For 3 hours! Usually I park on the street but there was no way to do it for the Wednesday matinee and I was already 10 minutes late so I went to the first garage I found...38 friggin bucks! More than anything I've paid for the rest of the day! Ulgh!
Anyway, so I was like 15 minutes late, still pissed about the parking. But when I got to the mezz, the woman said oh you're one flight up..you're meeting ppl right? I was like no. She's like really? I'm like yeah. She's like here, come in the mezz. The mezz was almost totally empty. I sat 3rd row left center. It was great! I would have come down anyway intermission but yeah. Too bad though. I saw and hung with Holly at the stage door after, turned out she was in the balcony.
Anyway, I missed like nothing, tends to happen with plays--the beginning is boring. But I really liked the show. Amanda Peet wasn't awful, but she wasn't very good. Patrick, though, was really good! Plays a versatile character and it's nice to not be hating his character. He was really funny. And Jill Clayburgh and Tony Roberts were also very good.
I was so much better with Patrick this time--didn't at all have the urge to mention loving Gerry, or the Phantom movie which is good, b/c I thought he did a great job in this. Anyway, he signed my playbill and we took a picture--I think it's better than my first, we're just closer and he looks better and bends down a bit more for me b/c he's REALLY tall. And I actually got a bit of my sharpie on his finger and I felt soo bad but he was soo nice about it, saying no it's fine, don't worry. I then proceeded to get sharpie on me. But he was you know good and compliant at the Costello concert but today I felt that he was really nice and sweet.
So yeah Holly was bringing a virgin to DRS(actually Barefoot was her first show!) so I'm anxiously awaiting her comments on that tonight.
Then picked up my friends, and parked downtown. Got my rush ticket for [title of show] (yaay!) and went to a rather yucky place for dinner. Then made my friend who suggested it buy me a pizza, since she ended up eating most of my food at the restaurant.
[title of show] was great! I highly recommend to see it before it closes. Not only is it full of broadway references in forbidden broadway fashion (The festival? The Queens(as in Queens, NY) festival!), and randomly saying of course you were meant to have children. But it's invigorated with so much current broadway culture. When they have a dream sequence of flying above Times Square they see the Naked Cowboy(I was like the only one to laugh). And they mentoned a post on All That Chat! I laughed, but was pissed, I wanted BWW mentioned!
Anyway, you get the idea. It's a small theatre, every seat is good, and I really enjoyed myself.
Then it took me an hour to find a spot I could stay in tomorrow but now I am here...watching
That seems kinda short from me...I'm proud.
I actually got a bit of my sharpie on his finger
Thats nothing, at the drowsy chaperone stagedoor tonight someone got blood on Sutton Foster, they accidentally stabbed themself with their own pen and didn't realize, and sutton looked suprised and then just wiped her had on his hand...
I officially recommend Drowsy Chaperone...and Lestat was mmhmm...

Wow, that was a great story, Meghan!
(I know I'll never forget the one and only time I've stood on a "real" stage- Les Mis in London. My class was instructed to climb on the baracades. I'm smiling, just remembering. God, I miss the days of being a carefree undergrad and taking a class called "The West End Musical" just for the hell of it while studying in London.)
I was only able to catch the matinee cam, but I just saw the highlights of the evening. Great job, Barb!
(Tonight's entertainment- a rare 2-show week- was far less wonderful than last night's DRS. But I had to go see Lestat. Morbid curiousity.)
