I fell out of my chair reading it. Seriously.

Well now that I am 99.99% convinced that Greg has indeed left the building for now ... I shall now go make that shrimp and pasta salad. (Thanks, Liz, for helping me decide.)
later ...
Hehe. Save some for me! .

Liz, there's plenty left over. It'll be lunch after church tomorrow.
Lovely, I will meet you after church then! .
Oh, Liz everyone knows if you enter a church, the heavens will descend and your evil heart will fry and your skin will sizzle...
I hate you.
Oh crap, I may be confusing you with Elphaba...
Damn why is everything in life a Wicked metaphor?!?!
That show is so profound.
I was reading New York magazine today and on its blurb for Wicked said "Strangely unsatisfying to anyone who isn't a teenagle girl." *giggle*
Hi guys. I had a chance to run up to NY for a quick overnight with my friend, Christine. We went to see DRS Friday night and I've got be perfectly honest - it was the best performance I've seen to date! Absolutely hysterical and the audience was so into it that there were cheers coming all through the show - particularly each time Greg and Joanna appeared! When Greg gave her the kiss at the end of "Like Zis" there was major hooting and cheering coming from all over! It was an absolute joy to be there. You know Norb's line in the Dirty Rotten Number .."I think we still deserve a hand"? Well, the cheering and applauding started and I didn't think it was ever going to stop! (Of course, I was a major participant.) After they finally returned to the chairs, Norb and Jonathan took the Margaritas that were sitting on the table and they toasted the audience with them!
Greg had told me to be sure and stop backstage after the show but he was collecting for BC/EFA at the door and he told us to just wait for him inside the theatre. When they finally closed the doors, he came in and led us back to the stage. He had another visitor - a young boy who had been corresponding with him and who I understood had a beautiful natural singing voice. Greg wanted to meet him so we all went up to the stage and Greg introduced everyone and then he excused himself while he went upstairs to change. While we were chatting with his family, we saw Brad Oscar standing over by the side of the stage, also waiting for Greg. Christine and I went over and told him that we were from Washington too and we let him know how much we loved Damn Yankees at Arena Stage. He was so excited! You would have thought that we were the celebrities! Then we were just wandering around the stage when suddenly Joanna appeared and started across. That was the most wonderful treat - actually getting to meet her and shake her hand. She's even more beautiful 'up close and personal' and I was so happy that I finally got to see her before she leaves.
Greg returned and was giving the young man and his dad his tour while the boy's mom, Christine (my friend) and I chatted off on the side. (Mostly talking about how wonderful Greg is!) Finally we all said goodbye and they left and then Christine and I went out with Greg. After signing a few autographs, we all headed up to 8th Avenue, when it started to rain. We were going to run for a bus, when we ran into Kerry instead! Greg was introducing us and halfway through the introduction, we were hugging. Finally we got on the bus and just continued talking as we went uptown. After Greg got off, we stayed on till we got to our hotel. We were still so hyped up by the fun evening that we ended up at Ruby Foos, eating dim sum and drinking wine till 1 AM.
It was a thoroughly wonderful evening - once again thanks to that darling boy - Greg J.!

Mamie, so glad to hear of the great time you had!
It was, Jose. (Did I mention - I just love Greg Jbara?).
I did have a nice breakfast with Addy, BlueMoon, and Miss Penny this morning. If the weather hadn't been so totally rotten, I would have been tempted to hang around a little longer. It was just too miserable today though.
... maybe next time! (and that Jazz at Lincoln Center in the Time Warner Center sounds perfect. When we passed it, Greg said that it was an incredible place to hear a concert)

Aw Mamie that's awesome! Once again I cannot wait till June 3rd when I finally get to meet Greg, I'm so excited. And hi Jose'!
Story time- Earlier I was at the movies watching The Benchwarmers and all of the sudden the flippin electricity shut off. The theater got completely dark and it was almost like a horror movie. It was pretty funny though because everyone started pulling out their cell phones for light. Long story short we were told we had to leave because there was a (and I quote) "hellacious" thunder storm over Tallahassee and they wouldn't be getting power back anytime soon. We got refund tickets though, so I guess it all worked out.
LOL - you might have actually enjoyed that more than the movie!

I actually thought the movie was pretty funny, but I'm a sucker for stupid funny stuff. I mean I pull "Your face" jokes on people so much that I'll walk past someone who's saying something along the lines of "That was so weird" and I say to myself "Your face is weird!" and proceed to crack up. So yeah, I like stupid stuff.
Soes anybody here get that PAX telethon Greg was talking about? We used to get a PAX network here, but I don't think we have it anymore. And we have no listings for that telethon.
Mamie, what a great night! I love that Greg is such a regular guy. I believe that I get PAX. I will see if I can TiVo it. If it works, I can then make a copy on video. I'll let you know and then I can send you a copy.
Barb, what dream?
Hi everyone!
I get PAX. When is Greg supposed to be on a telethon?
Edit: Nevermind I found it, but unfortunately it's not airing here.
mamie, that sounds like an awesome day! and going on the bus with Greg? again, it just shows you how he is a normal guy. haha. man, really wish i could bump into you or Kerrie.
barb, same question as Malki, what dream?
I just checked, i don't have PAX here at college. Use to at home, but now my parents have gotten rid of cable and put the TV in the attic. don't ask me why.
CONCERT TOMORROW!!!!!! so excited!

Sorry, Mamie. Doesn't look like I have PAX either.

Mamie, great report! Sounds like you had a wonderful trip!
Telethon ... yea, just updated the site a bit ... Greg just said "PAX" ... but checking online tv scheds, I think this thing may just be carried on the PAX channel in NYC. So I've updated the info to say WPXN, New York and to tell folks to check their local listings, just in case. Guess I'll tune in and see if it's on where I am ... I think all the schedule says is "paid programming" or something like that, for that time of day.
Dream ... oh my goodness ... I wrote about it (maybe wasn't wise)
in a bulletin on myspace ... it only goes to people on my friends list, right? (I now have 140 friends, btw, both real and fake.) Dre, you shoulda received it. I wasn't sure the hilarity came through via my bulletin report, but from what Liz said, I guess it did! Anyway .. I don't DARE tell about it on here. lol
Greg had probs with error messages with the last couple of images he tried sending, thus the seemingly abrupt end to the camcast tonight. Happens.
I've been holding my pee for like forever. That is being too addicted to the computer/internet! Okay, I'm going now!! lol
Barb xoxo
Hmmm, if it should just say 'Paid Programming' then maybe it will air here because that's what my TV guide says. I'll tune in and see what's on.
Barb: I have to agree with Liz. When I read that bulletin I burst out laughing.
Missed the cam (had to work all day), but awesome slideshow, Barb.
It's almost time for Joanna to leave the show right (end of the month)? That's depressing...
