That will be interesting. Hopefully, he's an incredible actor, or will just be really incredible at the part! Have you stopped listening to the cast recording in preparation? I really hope they do a wonderful job. TTB is one of my all time favorite theatre experiences and I saw a local production in Jersey.
I've never seen it, but I listen to the soundtrack as much as I can! Ah, I love Raul's voice. I'd kill to see a production of TTB.
Where can you find out where/when TTB (or other shows, for that matter) are scheduled to play? I sorta browsed MTI's website, but didn't really find anything.

Why is there no recording of chitty chitty bang bang? I have been looking. I want to listen to "Hushabye Mountain" and all I find is Dick Van Dyke.
You can hear Michael Ball on the London cast recording. And I'm sure someone here has Raul singing it.

I'm just popping in to say that I just got the TTB recording...and oh my god I love this man.
Too bad I never saw Chitty

Alix, I haven't stopped listening to the CR in preparation, but I don't really have time to listen to much of anything right now. I don't usually stop listening in preparation.

So, I just bought Taboo :) I love it! Raul is great, everyone is great, it is just such a fun CD.
YAY!
Petrified. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. He's so, so brilliant.
Taboo is awesome!
I usually stop listening, especially if I'm going to see other people doing it, so I'm not comparing the whole time, although comparisons and hearing the other voice in your head in inevitable.

Euan Morton has such a pretty voice, when I first heard him I was like- Woah- sooooo pretty! Lol. This show seems like it would be really fun to watch.
I wish I knew more about the show when it was on Broadway. I definately would have seen it! At the time, the little I heard was the negative buzz and that it's horrible so I was all, "ewww, Taboo, it must be a waste of time to see." That was before I knew enough to realize that Raul was in it, and what was I thinking?
I walked by the Hilton while they were in the middle of load-out today.
Euan Morton does have a pretty voice--i LOVE taboo..i've never seen it performed and Im kinda sad I missed it, but I love the cast recording.
I think I'm actually going to go to Cincinnati to see Company. Which seems completely crazy, since I've never gone out of the way to see a specific performer. But it's Raul, who I've grown to adore but still never seen in action, and it's Sondheim, and I have a friend who's up for roadtripping it... so if it all works out, why not?
I also agree--Taboo has an amazing score.
Emcee, that's sad.
I'm still trying to figure out if there's any way in hell I can get myself to Cincinatti. It's not looking too good right now.
Saving from page 2...
I went to see Wicked at the Kennedy Center last night and in the giftshop, they had windowcards from past shows that had been done there, including Sunday in the Park with George and Merrily We Roll Along. I got both
I have to say I was actually REALLY sad when I was in NY Wed./Thurs. and walked by Chitty. CHITTTYYYY! I miss it. But NY was good - I went with a friend who works for Marriott so we stayed at the Marquis for FREE. It was quite glorious. Saw Fiddler (ohhh, Fiddler.) and Rent of course. Will Chase is PHENOM as Roger. Really sad he's only in it for a month!
Considering the load-out was yesterday, I wondered about this. If you could have one prop from the show (other than the car), what would it be?
I would want the Caractacus Ken doll that drives mini Chitty during the chase scene
i want a toot sweet! i don't know why...i just really really want one! lol.
The pictures of Raul in Arcadia on his website make me picture him as Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. Which is a very nice picture.
He's probably too charismatic to play Darcy... but the period garb is still divine. :)
