I'll try to get some pictures, either at the Flea Market or at the Gershwin stage door. I think I might pay to get a picture with him -- good cause.
only one more day until i meet the one and only for the first time!
i'm thinking i'll pay for a picture and try to have him sign something at the same time because that way i'll definately get to meet him.
*jumps up and down all day long while attempting to do homework*
I want to be there to see this.
Me too. I wish I could record it somehow because I'm worried that I'll be too excited to remember exactly what was said since it will happen so fast. Hopefully, not too fast though.
I don't know what's going to keep me from watching him in front of me for the whole hour - at a comfortable distance of course.
ETA: Considering it's only an hour, I don't know how much of it they spend with the pictures so it's probably likely you'll be there I guess. It'll be good to have someone else who understands the enormity of the event.
*totes video camera*
Don't doubt me, Alix!
A lot of people just stand off to the side and watch the happenings at the table. It's not weird.
Anyway, I'll be there with Britt (I think) so you can just call me if you don't see me.
Sounds like a plan.
I would bring a video camera if I had one that was smaller and easy to carry around. There's going to be so much to see I won't know where to go. I'm picturing theatre heaven.
Now, I must attempt to finish all the work I won't be doing tomorrow - yuck.
See you and the man of the day soon!
It's literally like Disney World for theatre geeks. Except your money goes to something better than the expansion of the Disney empire. Not that Disney is bad, but you know.
I've gotta hit the ATM on the way there tomorrow...and come up with a good excuse to my parents. College in the city is expensive though, so I'll think of something. It's for a good cause, so it's not entirely selfish, right? Right? Oh, well...I must have a picture with Raul. No ifs, ands, or buts. Oh, wow, I'm excited already. How am I supposed to get my psych paper done now? Sigh...

You all better post your pictures with Raúl that you take tomorrow. I want to see them!
ha, we'll probably all end up seeing each other tomorrow, since they pull the actors from the table when people want them. I guess they'll go by how many people want to see which actor and group the fans.
ahhhh!!! i'm so excited i can't wait...cause i'll definately be there bright and early to get my picture! haha, it's actually a little ridiculous because i'll be at school on duty until 7am on sunday, then we drive the three hours to the city, stopping in ma hometown to pick up my biffle and roommate! haha. running into bww people is my new favorite thing so hopefully i'll meet some of you! :)

Eee! My friend is seeing Chitty right now and she called me so I could listen now. It's during "You Two" and Raúl sounds amazing! He's adding in stuff all over the place!
Aww...lucky. I love it when he ad-libs.
I love it when he does that! I think that's why it's so fun to see him over and over.
What's he saying?!
PS, greatdct, 9/23-- he sounded kind of hoarse, don't you think?

One I remember was during "You Two" He was like "It works! How marvelous! No? Yes? Yes? No?" Hahaha.
Does he? I've only listened to that audio once and not all the way through. I'll go listen to it again and pay more attention.
PLEASE let him be healthy on the 28th! Pretty please?
*snort*
He's such a dork.
He gets throatier when he's sick. Like... it's hard to explain, but when he's in good voice, the vibrato and the growliness sound forced and intentional. When he's sick, it almost sounds more natural, because he can't help it, whereas he sounds like he normally has control over it. He sounds alright singing there, but his speaking voice sounds lower. I'm sort of worried that he'll fall into the trap he did last year where the vocal issues recur and the absences become more and more frequent. *sigh*

Oh, and I thought I should add that the audience is FABULOUS! They are loving it! I'm so glad. Nothing is worse than a dead audience.
Ah "Act English". I love this song!

Well it's about freakin' time they had an audience that was alive.

Okay, so it's "Hushabye Mountain" and I'm trying to listen to the vibrato. Over a cell phone it's a bit hard to tell but his voice does sound different. I can't put my finger on it.

True -- I forgot they made the switch already.
He's gotta do an awful lot of singing tomorrow.

Okay... he just coughed out "You use a sturdy pole".
Sigh. Oh well, props to him for not missing another show...
