Danke.
I post too much on this thread, but... I'm sure you've all seen this...
Don't click if you don't want to be extremely depressed...
Barbara Walsh in Falsettos anyone? He was animated enough to be a cartoon over that.
I'm sure La Guardia is a nice school and all, but you'd think they could have found a classier backdrop for the pictures of the winners.
Heh. Sadly, that's the best it gets.
I totally forgot to post this earlier, but a small heads up: IMDb has a little alert saying that the episode of "Spin City" that Raúl is supposedly on will air at 9:30 (Eastern) on FX tomorrow morning. I'm gonna check it out. I'm curious! It's from '97.
Um, I’m a newbie here – this is my very first post anywhere on BWW, so be gentle, please!
I’ve only recently discovered Raúl, so I’m coming to this party kinda late. See, I live in Los Angeles and there’s just not a whole lot of coverage of Broadway or the theatre world out here. Hollywood has seen to that. I try to keep up, but only so much info gets through. A weak excuse, I know, but there it is.
But now that I know about this wonderful, amazing, talented man, I’m trying to make up for lost time. I can’t offer any stories or pictures of Raúl (yet!!) but I can offer endless appreciation, and ask questions. Lots of questions, and observations, too.
After I was first exposed to Raúl (geez, that makes him sound like a disease!) I stumbled to the Internet and started finding out all sorts of information (god I love the Internet!) But the best of all was finding broadwayworld.com and these message boards and all the awesome people here. I’m still plowing my way through the older threads, but it’s so much fun!
One other thing I have to say -- I hope everybody here knows what a treasure you have in luvtheEmcee. I emailed her a few weeks ago after reading some of her posts, and she has been infinitely kind and patient with all my questions and floundering around. She is a goddess!
Sorry for the long post! I try for brevity but rarely succeed.
^ I'll drink to that.

And one for Emcee!
Barbara Walsh in Falsettos anyone? He was animated enough to be a cartoon over that.
was that the time at the stagedoor, or a different time? I'm with him on that one though, I love Barbara. The Spring Awakening boys, not so much...
Those pics of them moving the set out are depressing. That poor column! How emasculating, lol.
Yay, you posted! Welcome to our little hole in cyberspace. And thank you -- I'm humbled by your compliments.
Chatting with you has been a pleasure!

Here is a welcoming pic of Raul for you:
And another, just for his good looks. And the fact that I love this shirt on him - I'm pretty sure I've seen it in person at the stagedoor too, but don't hold me to that
^another example of his Adam style waist grabbing. When he's not busy grabbing...other things, hehe
Hah, at the stage door, misschung. So much fun.

The same day as the pride parade. I have fun pictures from that too, lol
Aww. geez! You guys are great! What a warm welcome! It's a lovely little hole in cyberspace. And so beautifully decorated!
He was practically giddy; I thought it was sweet! (Not going to mock. Not not not not NOT.)

I'm listening to one of the ATW interviews with him now. He's discussing Chitty and talking about Roald Dahl - my other hero - I am in bliss!
Raúl giddy....what a lovely thought. When was that?
Aww, Melissa. Love her.
Welcome, humbugfoto!
Uuuum.... the week before the show closed, I believe. A bunch of us saw the show and Raúl stuck around to talk to us for a little while before the cast went to see Forbidden Broadway.
Melissa is gorgeous. I love that picture of the two of them.
I LOVE Roald Dahl. I know people think his books are just for kids but they are BRILLIANT. Good stuff.
Well, you have to be a complete stone to not be obessed with Barbara Walsh in Falsettos!!! She's amazing!!!
Sorry... I think I'm becoming as geeky, if not more nerdtastic than PWAP is...
Proper welcome from me, humbug.
Have any of you been over to Forbidden Broadway since they've added "Being Intense" and "Unaccompanied"? I keep telling myself I'll TDF it, but I always forget.
Oh, and I had the brilliance to go look up PWAP on urbandictionary... not a very good idea

He was probably the first writer that made me become obsessed with books. His "adult" books are kind of biting and a little racy, but there are definitely threads between them and his children's books.
Raul was so cute that day, and I think he was wearing that same shirt! Or maybe just a very similar one
Ahh Forbidden Broadway..good times.
Em, Have you seen it yet?
JB, LOL your avatar thingy. I love that picture.
I love "Being Lupone" so much... I'm scared that I'm going to laugh at Being Intense even more. THOSE BASTARDS CAN'T PLAY WITH MY EMOTIONS LIKE THAT.
No, I haven't seen the new FB yet, but it's definitely on my list. I've been really busy with work and some other stuff since Company closed (for the best, I think!). I have some time off coming up before I'm in and out of town a lot in the next few weeks. I'll catch it before summer's over, though.
Yeah, that's the shirt -- from what I can tell from the pictures we took that day. (The super-cheery one!).
Hi humbug! :)
Who would have thought that 'pwap' was already a word? I never would have guessed.
And misschung, that is a damn fine shirt!
It's a lovely shirt....he does seem to have a thing for striped shirts. I wonder if he thinks they make him look taller?
Welcome humbugtofo!
I'm absolutely sworn to secrecy, but, not to be vague or anything...we might be hearing some news about a project a certain someone we all enjoy and admire may be doing shortly. Maybe. This is secondhand, so I don't know for sure or anything. I can't say anything more, and I know that's annoying, but it's something to look forward to, at least. Hopefully.
