I was staring at the pink drink. And for some reason I didn't realize how...out there that tie is.
And in his defense, the only thing he's worn lately that I thought was really horrible is that yellow blazer.
Aww, I miss the yellow jacket!
I cannot FATHOM why Raul doesn't use whitening strips. Hello! Outfit aside, he does look tan. And thinner.
A big musical? Hmmm. Intriguing.
Oy, I should really not be posting.
Could Leap of Faith be headed in already? I mean, this is all anybody's guess, of course.
No, Daphne gets white strips in bulk for doing the commercials voiceovers and passes them out to her friends, but Adam has exhausted her resources beyond what she can share with Raul.
EAU, don't feel bad! Your tie matches your shirt/suit and looks nice. Raul's...well, you have to wonder if he's colorblind. Or just blind.

aw, Eau, you guys look so cute!
opiv, I didn't even notice the drink, lol. That reminds me of that bar scene in Hot Chics. "some extra sugar on the rim, YUM!"
I think Leap of Faith is definitely in the works, so maybe that's what he's talking about. Unless he has something else planned too!
This discussion reminds me of the episode of Friends where Ross has his teeth whitened to the point that they're TOO bright. And then he goes into black light.

that was SO funny. That can actually happen tho, it's kind of frightening. Adam's wife can prb attest to that
Well hopefully Raul isn't going to do that, but some white strips wouldn't hurt.
ha
Well, he looks happy.
Heh, Adam WOULD.
The drink in his hand is a Pink Flamingo, which is kinda like a cosmo over ice. I had a few of those. If I had another one, I think I would have asked Raul to marry me a little.
And in Raul's defense, the flash on my camera is pretty strong, so it wasn't too flattering to either of us. I'm just grateful I had my picture taken with someone I admire so much...it's a keeper LOL.

He's got such a cute smile in pictures, it always looks like he's laughing. And he's definitely not shy about the arm around the shoulder - lucky for us
Pink Flamingo, huh? I'll have to try one of those, it sounds like something I'd like
The funny thing was that we were both laughing just as the picture was taken because my acerbic-tongued partner said, "Hey Raul, Ed watches you defying gravity on YouTube a lot." I'm surprised I didn't turn as red as our ties.
It's okay, Raul YouTubes himself.
PINK FLAMINGO
1 1/2 oz vodka
1 1/2 oz Cointreau® orange liqueur
3/4 glass orange juice
1 dash sloe gin
Mix all ingredients, shake and serve in a tall glass.
Serve in: Collins Glass
That is one potent cocktail....
My friend wants all of you to know she liked the tie so much, she almost complimented him on it.
Good thing she didn't though, cause I'm pretty sure that would've only encouraged him.
Speaking of drinks, I was on a "business trip" of sorts last week, and they had these really cool drinks. I can't remember the exact proportions -- I can look them up if anyone wants, though -- but they were: bourbon, grenadine, lemonade, and then a cherry and an orange slice.

aw, Eau - if my mom were with me she would probably say something along those lines, which is why I'm kind of glad she wasn't there when I met Raul.
That drinks sounds delicious, the lemonade is probably really good. I usually have vodka and sprite with lime, or gin and tonic with a splash of cranberry juice and lime, or a manhattan. But I'm always up for new concoctions The last time my mom and I made Manhattans we barely had any ingredients in the house, so by the end we were just mixing Jameson and ginger ale. The next morning was fun
Em - sounded like a Manhattan until the lemonade part.
I had no idea Leap of Faith was that far along. I know they did a reading last winter but that doesn't mean a lot.
I am more interested in Raul's remark that they are still trying to cast Ruth for HOMECOMING.
I heard Emily Watson's name thrown around for Ruth (maybe on DL? heh), and that would be cool, though I'm sure they'd have announced if that was certain.
It's okay, Raul YouTubes himself.
"Not to sound conceited or anything, but I watched that on YouTube and thought, 'That is SO COOL!'" (Arbiter's Song, if anyone's interested.)
That comment is really only one very small step away from flat-out going, "OMG SUNGLASSES!!!!"
I have no clue how far along Leap of Faith is. Just a guess.
sweetestsiren, I'm right there with the Arbiter's Song, both the actual performance and the rehearsal with his class clown antics while the dancers are front and center.
EAU, fab report on the Sunday shindig. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous of you and Opiv getting to schmooze with Raul. Next year, if Raul performs at the benefit again, I'm going to splurge on the expensive tickets. You can write it off as a charitable donation, right? BTW, I think a while ago you asked about the name of Raul's high school in Fremont; it's Mission San Jose High. I can't help thinking that when I photographed Raul talking on his cell phone, he was talking to one of his old high school buddies, setting up someplace to go drinking after the event. Needed something more manly than a Pink Flamingo to end the night!
Emily Watson will tower over Raul. She's MUCH taller than he is, I recall.
After reading the play, somehow, I think that could... work. Add to the ridiculous!

oo, I love Emily Watson! That could definitely work!
re: Leap of Faith, I heard 2009, but that could always change
