Raul was so amazing in that, really. His Italian-American accent pretty hott too, lol. I honestly will buy it just for that scene with him.
I think we call that accent New Yorker Italian Mafia. heh.

Hee, they interview Raul in the video from the anniversary.
The dean of our college has to use my computer tonight to give a Powerpoint presentation, and I just realized that that really hot picture of Raul from Show People was my background. It's now some neutral black and white nature photograph.
That video was so exciting! It was great to see even those little snippets of the performance.

When I was watching that, I screamed: "RAUL!!!!!". I scared my sister and friend.

aw. I don't have time to watch it now; what does he say?
He said something about how he thinks Rent is one of the best pieces of theater out there, and it just brought so many people back to the theater. Then he said it was like being surrounded by family, so it was great.

Yeah, he said it was the best thing written in the last ten years, and that it's like family to him, so watching it was 'spectacular'.
awww. I love that he's a fan.
... I hope Adam held him. Or vice versa.
I'm sure there was plenty of snuggling
Well, apparently Adam was drinking.
So.

Before I edited, the way I typed "apparently" made it look like *I* was drinking.

Come one Em, we all know that you're drunk on these boreds!
EDIT: And the way I spelled 'boards' makes *me* the drunk one
now.
EDIT again: Wow, I spelled 'on' as 'one'. I was drunker than I thought...

Kind of changing the topic, but I just read the articles to which sweetestsiren posted links, and...wow. The more I read about Raul, the more I admire him. I NEED to see this man onstage.

I know what you mean- it's like every interview makes him seem more and more amazing. And he truly is beautiful on stage. I wish I lived in NYC so I could have the chance to see him live all the time.

I think you're really lucky to have seen him even once!
Apparently noboby likes to come to Montreal. Ah well. Just listening to Raul on cast recordings is something of an experience itself, I guess. We're always saying how listening to his music always makes us happy, calms us down, makes us feel good in general. It's almost supernatural, in a way!

Very true, I am so grateful to have seen him. And to be seeing him again if he moves to Broadway with 'Company'.
He really is like magic. When I am stressed or upset or just need to calm down I can listen to his voice and it's just so healing. Especially 'Petrified' because of how beautiful it is.

I have been listening to Petrified pretty much on loop since i bought it over the weekend for a cd i was making for a friend... I had never heard it before and I absolutely fell in love with it!
(So, i'm new to the Raul appreciation, but i just read one of the interviews posted a few pages back. I'm slightly amused to learn that he was born in Delaware (since i live there now).)
Shameless thread bumping... got to love it.
Petrified has got to be the most amazing song I have ever heard. It's like audio crack to me, once I listen to it I have to repeat it at least 25 time before I can move on to the next song on the playlist.
In other random news, I want to get a "Taboo" related tattoo and I don't know what to get. Any ideas?
