It was really cute, even if he didn't stay all that excited. But, I can definitely see it being a really welcomed break from shows where people are on drugs and dying and the like.
He does an incredible amount of research for his work, and for each part, but he's also very well versed in the art of theater. I say this a lot, but we need more actors like him.

I miss Raul and the Raul love.
Pretty Chitty picture. The Hilton isn't the same without it.

Ha ha... Yeah, I miss walking down 43rd and seeing that picture. Oh, the things that photograph could say if it could talk...
I haven't heard it yet. I've been tempted, but I really want to wait and hear it live in all it's grandure. Um...is it fall yet?

It is... oh, God, it's just glorious. It's just all of this genius packed into 4 and a half minutes of absolute theatrical bliss. It will blow. your. mind. It's one of those moments where everything clicks and it truly works perfectly.
I have a really hilariously embarassing photo of myself; my friend made me stand next to that shot of Raul, posing like he is in the picture. Yup.

Nah, broadwaystar2b made me do it.
See, I mean, without Chitty, there is no poster humping.
On a serious note, I'm really curious to see what the Company logo looks like.

First Cincy, now Utah... from Variety.com:
Legit thesps Raul Esparza ("Company"), Will Chase ("High Fidelity"), Anthony Rapp ("Rent"), Michael Stuhlbarg ("The Pillowman"), Johanna Day ("Proof"), Christina Kirk ("Well") and Jordan Gelber (Avenue Q") are among thesps who will make up the acting company at the The Sundance Institute Theater Laboratory, set for July 10-30.
They'll be helping scribes workshop seven new plays at the Sundance Resort in Utah. Pieces will include "Current Nobody" by Melissa James Gibson ("[sic]"), "Geometry of Fire" by Stephen Belber ("Tape") and "Steve and Idi" by David Grimm ("Measure for Pleasure").
Well... it's some news at least!

Posted: 6/21/06 at 9:50pmWow, that's really cool. The Sundance Theater Festival or whatever it's really called has finally begun to get a significant amount of attention, though they've apparently been doing great work for quite a while now. Good for him.

I can't imagine there being very much gossip from Utah, given the location, but who knows. Anyway, this sounds really cool.

Yeah, it's out. If they have it at my crapy rat infested video store, they should have it every where.
And oh, my, God! Raul is HOT in this movie. I just wanna....wow. *kicks self for not seeing this in the theatre* I've watched the opening scene about three times now. I just love how he's such a chamelien. And stubble...I LOVE stubble.
It was kinda wierd watching him on screen, though. I know it's Raul, but it feels like it's his twin brother or something!
Oh Raul...Company can't get here quick enough.

Yeah, my Netflix says that it wont be out until the 27th. I'll probably have to wait until I get back from camp to see it though, because we leave on the 28th.

If I wasn't going to be in the middle of the woods I could do it, but I'm sure you'll be able to find someone before I get back.

That's so weird that my crack and rat infested inner city video store got it in stock before anyone else. But you guys are gonna love it. Raul is the first thing you see on screen, and then later he has an even better scene. :)
And the idea of Raul being italian cracked me up...
