So exciting! Only 51 days till I get to see Company!
I'm bumping this thread in anticipation of losing my Raul virginity tonight. Looking forward to it!
Emcee is almost more excited about it than I am.
I was gonna make a really dirty comment, but I won't.
*runs around the room*
I'll do it for you, Em.
Have fun! You'll be the most recent in a long, long line.
I won't be seing this for ages and ages...darnit!
Hee, what? Raul has enticed many people with his stage presence over the years.
Well, I've heard great things about his HUUUUGE,um, stage presence.
Geez, y'all, how 'bout some respect?!
In all genuine seriousness, I hope he meets and exceeds your expectations. I know they're high, but... he's gonna blow you away.

NOT LIKE THAT!
("Blowing thusly!")
*dies from laughter*
Good lord, you people spend too much time on DL.
Congratulations to Raúl and the rest of the cast of Company and I wish them all the best with the show's run.
Try to make that dirty, you sickos. :-P
I can't, but I won't.
But seriously, yes. Congrats to everybody, whee!!
*BOUNCE* YAYYYY, Raul and cast! Break major legs.
I hope Raul and everyone else have an awesome show... Company better have a long run so I can get into the city and see it.
I'm totally making myself late to a meeting by posting this, but best of luck to the company and I hope everyone seeing the show has fun!
I can't wait until tommoroooooow!
Bump because the first person back tonight loved it!
Apparently the audience went batsh*t crazy for Being Alive.
Congrats, you beautiful thing. :)

I don't have time for a full-length review, but I will say that this production of Company is very good. Is it as perfect and amazing as I thought it would be? No. But I don't think tightening and whatnot will dramatically alter my opinion of the show.
It's kind of how I felt like after seeing Drowsy. It's a very very good show, but not as good as was expected.
SIGHTINGS: Sondheim was there, taking furious notes. He LOVED "Not Getting Married" and "Being Alive" which were also my favorites. John Doyle was there as well, although I didn't see him until I stagedoored.
Raul took a year and a half to come out, but it was totally and 100% worth it. We chatted a bit as he could see me from where I was sitting, so he remembered me. I acted like a child, of course, but he was so gracious. I love him!
Aww.
I'm glad you liked it even though not as much as you expected, though.
I'm often afraid I've hyped it up too much and that people who frequent these boards are going to be disappointed because of that. And... I thought it was what I express my opinions to be when I saw the Cincinnati production -- so I definitely go in to tomorrow expecting differences; some things fixed, and probably some new flaws, too. I think in some ways, I'm also almost secretly afraid. I know that there are going to be things they're still working through, and that they're still really getting on their feet, so I'm ready for there to be things that might not compare, because the Cincy production was *perfection.* But, transfers cause both loss and gain, so we'll see.
