To great talent...

LOL. My mom always thinks it's spelled Raoul. But she DOES know that's his real name. :)

To great talent...

"He doesn't look like a Raul."

That was my dad's reaction.

Wanting life but never knowing how

To great talent...

Lol, and what does a Raul look like? Blond hair and clothes from the 1800's? 'Cause that's definitly what my dad is thinking. That said my mom is officially in love with him, it was that whole singing with little children that did it for her. Then I was evil and showed her the Rocky Horror picture, hehe. To great talent...

To great talent...

I don't know how he sang Time Warp without totally killing his voice. It's insane/awesome.

Still undecided about "stagedooring" after Company... I'll be so excited just to see the show. To great talent...

To great talent...

Do it!! I am so nervous to stage door(I'm seeing it the day after sweetestsiren). I mean, it's Raul... He's scary in the OMG you are Raul Esparza way, lol. And if that didn't make me sound like a fangirl then I don't know what will To great talent....
#1684

To great talent...

haha. Just say hi and offer to shake his hand, or something. He's kind of timid, so he won't scare you.

To great talent...

Aww, he's timid- that's so cute! It's weird though, I mean, I wasn't this scared to go to Anthony's book signing. I think it's because he posts around here and he feels more 'real' if you know what I mean. That said I am absolutely terrified to see Raul. Hopefully I can just relax and enjoy the show and then try not to throw up on him or something, lol. Or faint in his arms... then again *ponders To great talent...*

To great talent...

He's amazing to talk with if you catch him in a chatty mood. But don't feel bad if he's short or a bit scattered.

He'll be sweet, I'm sure. :)

Sorry about the movie, Em. I think I'll be doing entering all night.

Okay, so this is REALLY random, but my friend and I were discussing Raul and parts that he would be... interesing/good in, and we were thinking that he'd be a really hot Phantom, lol. Not to mention the perfect Cat in the Hat.
#1691

To great talent...

I love that even when I'm feeling horrible/stressed, blaring "30/90" never fails to help at least a little.

To great talent...

LOL. I don't know if you guys remember this, but last Spring, just before the Phantom DVD was set to come out, there was an update on Raul's site that said he had auditioned to play the Phantom in the movie, but obviously Gerard Butler got the part over him. The update was to say that Raul's screentest was going to be included in some behind-the-scenes feature on the DVD. There was a link in the update that was supposedly to Amazon's page about the DVD. I didn't click it, because I didn't want to pre-order or anything, and there was no reason not to believe it.

So I got all excied/angry and posted it on BWW. I can't remember if there was an already existing thread, or if I started one, but whatever. Anyway, I was excited to see the screen test, but angry because I was kind of tired of Raul losing out to big stars -- Phantom, apparently, and Anna in the Tropics -- and because hey, he's like 8,000 times better than Gerard Butler.

Then his webmaster, Karen, posts. Turns out if you clicked that link, it was just "APRIL FOOLS!!" And she was all "yeah, sorry. It's just a joke."

Anyway. Yeah. I would like to see him try it.

*loves*

Yeah, that's pretty much all, but the thread was on page three.

I've realized of late that Company is one of my favorite cast recordings.... it's one of the few where I don't feel compelled to skip any song, ever. Ahhh... I'm getting so antsy about this weekend.
#1696

To great talent...

uuugh, the motel story.

Yes To great talent... I didn't know what else to call it. "The almost-sex monologue?"
