Bad Lexi!
Bohemian, I said I had seen most of his work through...slightly illegal means. My mouth works faster than my mind.
Em, you totally have to. And get him to sign an picture of himself as "Mano."

Nope, no wandering. Actually, I feel a little bad because he didn't seem to talk to my friend as much, but she was being quieter and it took him so long to sign my tick, tick...BOOM! thing that he was focused on me for a while.
From relatively far away, my mother found his feet big enough to warrant comment.
JUST sayin'.
ETA -- I find that if you're quiet, he doesn't try very hard. I guess maybe it's because he's sort of timid as well. Like, when skittles and I were there, he talked to her way more because she was more outgoing than I was.
That's not so bad, skittles.
I'd pay you to say that to Raul.
He would not have ANY idea what I was doing.

Wait, is that sort of thing only allowed in the Adam thread?

I was surprised because honestly I am not an outgoing person with people I've just met, especially not people I admire and am, let's face it, starstruck around. I just sort of went for it though, and I'm so glad.
Hee, Lexi. *will NOT post Chess picture*
Bohemian, what's bad is that we got into a discussion about the quality of them. It was so odd.
I'm outgoing to cover up the fact that I'm nervous as hell. He is just so intimidating.
ha. I can see how that could get awkward.

Can I also just mention that I SWEAR I saw Steven Sondheim at the theater? Now I have no clue if he's in Ohio right now, but this guy was sitting at a table near me and I was like, woah, that looks 'just' like him...
*snort* post it, you know you wanna.

He has AMAZING legs... Not to mention, other areas.
Horrah, I'm glad to hear that you met him and had a good experience, Shiksa!
I am *very* shy, and I actually thought that he was kind of wonderful about that. He's not going to work extremely hard for conversation, but he does do a good job of trying to bring you out of your shell a bit, which is nice.

Thanks S.S. He is such a sweetie. I was like shaking when I handed my CD booklet to him and I felt immediatly better when he did the little squeel about it being "TICKTICKBOOM!" (I've honestly never heard it said as fast as he said it, lol).
I think that came out wrong. Like, if there's one shy person and one outgoing person, he really gravitates toward the outgoing person. If you're ALL shy or you're alone, he really tries to get you to be comfortable with him.
I love that he gets so excited about TTB stuff.
Makes sense, Em.
I wish that I had talked about being a fan of so much of his other work, but we stuck with talking about Company. Maybe next time. Baby steps!

I didn't say anything but I'm sure the CD spoke for itself, lol.

Congrats SS and Shiksa! Sounds like you had a great time.
I'm not sure whether anyone will be particularly interested, but I wrote a (rambling, probably too influenced by other reviews) review of Company for an LJ community about Raul. Review-writing is so not my thing, keep in mind.
