I have to say...it's a good album. But, personally, I prefer her show stuff, although there are some really good songs on that album...written by Jonathan Larson, Elton John, Pete Townshend...basically, composed by all the composers of the shows she's been in.

First off, I'm a HUUUGE Sherie fan, and I'm wondering, how would you classify her voice? Soprano, mezzo, or alto? I'm just curious, because she has such a unique tone that makes me wonder.

anyone know?

Alto...but, at the same time, she has a Lea Salongaesque quality of a belting Soprano...You know..one of those Soprano's who sounds like an Alto. No, I'll stick with Alto, as she cen belt notes way into the stratosphere ("Love is My Legs" proves that)

That's what I figured, because of course she can belt to the moon and back, and at the same time deliver something gentle and very pretty. Gotta love her, LOL.

I think it's quite sad that no one appreciates Sherie, the way folks appreciate Norbert or Adam. In a few hours, this post will once again be on the third page.

Yes Boo to the Sherie haters.
Although I must say its just a couple people conversing on the Adam thread, we rearely mention Adam, which is good because I am very indifferent about him.
Norbert is always up in his thread, of course there is lots of Sherie talk there as well.
You say Alto, hmm I was thinking solid soprano with the ability to go low, either way give me a song and I'll have Sherie sing it!

I think a revival of SITPWG with Sherie and, dare I say it, Norbert, would be both stunning and likely sweep the Tonys. Sherie would have to play shallow to be Dot, but she can pull it off.

How about Sherie as Petra in A Little Night Music?

And yes, it wouldn't be any more perfect casting than to cast Norbert and Sherie in Sunday...

Sherie needs to cut out another solo album, singing Showtunes, like Defying Gravity, The Miller's Son, Nobody's Side, etc.

Technically, they aren't Sherie haters...they're just not fans...or they're females or gay men thinking this is a "She is a hottie" thread, or they just don't care for her because she's not in Wicked.
Wish I would've seen her in Rent.

Aida was like my all time fav muscial and still is but now it is a tie between wicked and Adia then stars from both of those got together in DRS so i love DRS

I adore Sherie. I fell in love with her voice when I heard L5Y. She's amazing.
