Okay, the fact that there's a "Clear Form" button right next to "Post Message"? BAD IDEA.

Anyway, I liked this episode and thought that it felt very noir despite Keith being the acting Sheriff, but I did have a few questions about the final confrontation scene (SPOILERS). If Tim bugged Landry's phone and planted that evidence on Butando (sp?), why on earth would he let Veronica hear the message, which he undoubtedly must have remembered was from earlier that day, where Landry trashed him with Pepperdine? I guess you could argue that he couldn't have avoided it, but he doesn't seem to have underestimated her detective prowess until now, so you'd think he would have reacted somehow. Also, if he was framing Landry for the crime, why set up the fake alibi to get him out of jail when they had what was probably enough evidence to convict him? Ohh, maybe because he was bugging Veronica, too, and knew that Mindy had run off, which makes her look guilty and damages the case against Landry? I can't remember the exact string of events. So he faked the alibi knowing that Veronica would figure it out and that evidence would prove once and for all Landry's involvement in the crime. Clever, very clever. I kind of like that it takes me this long to work out the details of the crime.

I do feel badly for Landry, though...innocent of one crime, but driven to commit another because he thought Mindy was framing him. And Mindy, despite the odds, really was innocent and just out to prove that it wasn't suicide. Updated On: 2/28/07 at 10:17 AM

Yeah saw that coming too.
I still hate Logan/Parker.

I suspect a little Veronica/Piz stuff when the show comes back, and I'm not sure if that's a good thing.

The ending was a bit odd. Something was a bit funky. We're they setting something up for when the show comes back, or was that newscast just random?

Man, I'm so bummed. I really loved Tim/Lucky. Especially when he and Veronica were trying to one-up each other with their mad detective skills and Keith popped in and noticed Hemingway immediately. Favorite scene of the season so far!
Otherwise, underwhelmed.

I really liked most of the episode, but I would have been shocked if Tim wasn't the killer, so that was a bit of a disappointment.
I would have also liked just a tad more lip service to Lamb, from Sacks, not from the Mars team.
Logan and Parker doesn't bother me at all, although I would be shocked if that is all settled.

Yeah, I don't think that Logan/Parker will last very long.
I hope they use more Wallace in the last 5 eps. I miss him way too much!
There's no mystery arc for the last 5 eps, right?

I hope for those last 5 episodes.
I hope they are amazing and hook more fans.
Because with such great writing and great acting, how on this earth can The CW, which is flattering in itself, cancel such a brilliant show. If such shows as Pussycat Dolls search or those ridiclous sitcoms can survive, why can't a brilliant little show that could?

I'm actually glad about this. I love Chris Lowell, but the character of Piz REALLY annoys me. I think being cast on what is sure to be one of the hottest new shows next season is a great oppurtunity for him. I really don't think his departure from Veronica Mars has anything to do with whether or not the show will be picked up next season. Now, if Enrico Colantoni gets cast in a new pilot then I will be REALLY worried....

I'm spending a night in watching the Season 2 DVDs, and I have to marvel at the amount of innuendo that they manage to get in there.

Examples that come to mind (some paraphrased):

Kendall: You say that, but then tonight you'll call me at 2AM to invite me over.
Logan: But you always come.

Madison: Do I look like I enjoy being covered in white goop?

I am DYING of the anticipation!!! I've been watching Season 1 again and it just reafirms why I love this series so much.

If we don't get a Season 4, I guarantee that I will cry.

I can't wait! Although I've read some minor spoilers that made me want to throw up a little, I'm uber-excited!

I really hope that this is not the last season. I will be incredibly pissed if this is the end for Veronica Mars, especially seeing as how the CW just picked up the PussySkanks for a second season.

NO THEY DIDN'T! I can't believe they renewed that horrible show...

I'm on disc 5 of Season 2 again. I had actually forgotten for a second that the Hearst rapings technically started in season 2.... those darn Pi Sigs.

Speaking of the rapings... where have they gone?! They haven't been mentioned in, like, 4 episodes... and wasn't that supposed to be the big season-long mystery of this season...? Or I guess because they found the rapist it's all over...

To tell you the truth, I've unfortunately forgotten what happened back in February or whenever the last episode was. The dean's killer was you know who.. but where are we at?

This season had a new format that they were testing to get more viewers. The first block of episodes concerned the rapes on campus. Then the second block after the winter hiatus was about who killed the Dean. There was supposed to be a third block that contained another mystery arc, but after the CW cut back the season order by 2 episodes, the PTB decided to make these last episodes stand alones. The only arcs connecting them will be emotional ones between the characters--all mysteries will be solved in one episode.

Apparently VM's best hope for a 4th season is the new pitch that Rob is giving to the CW next week. They'll skip the series forward 4 years and have it focus on Veronica as an FBI agent. Personally, I think this could be really cool. They would arguably still keep her dad around, which is truly the most important relationship in the show anyway. Plus the shipper side of me hopes that 4 years will prove to be long enough for Logan and Veronica to get their sh*t together and realize that they are made for each other.

Any thoughts?

Honestly, I'm up for anything if it keeps this show on the air. Veronica Mars in the FBI is better than no Veronica Mars. I will, however, miss certain characters like Wallace, Mac, and even Dick.

I seriously doubt that if they moved the show 4 years in the future they wouldn't have Logan there somewhere. Rob Thomas has repeatedly stated that Logan, next to Veronica, is the most beloved character on the show. They won't get rid of him. In fact, even if I hated the idea of the 4 year skip, I'd watch the season premiere next year just to see what in God's name Logan is up to after 4 years.
