YAYAYAYAYYAYAYAY!!!!
After what feels like an ETERNITY of waiting, the big night is finally here!
...of course, those of us who are really VM freaks have already watched the premiere episode online. But it'll still be fun to watch it again!
I'm excited about it and have purposely held off of watching it online because I want to watch it on the big screen.
Although, don't we already have a VM thread?

I've actually never seen this show...I just know some actors from Big Love are in it!
You can never have too many VM threads, Stephen.
Yes, there are Big Love actors in the Neptune universe. Tina Majorina of "Napoleon Dynamite" and "Corina Corina" fame plays Cindy "Mac" MacKenzie, the Q to Veronica's Bond.
Also, Amanda Seyfried of "Mean Girls" fame had a major role in the first season as Veronica's murdered best friend, Lilly Kane. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll be seeing her on VM anymore. Too bad; she was great in her flashback scenes.
I have posted a note on my Facebook offering $5 to anyone who watches the premiere and isn't hooked. Let's see how much money I owe tomorrow morning.
I still have a dozen or so episodes to get through on Season 2 so will be saving the new season on DVR till I can catch up. Damn Battlestar Galactica for taking all my DVD watching time (I've only got 5 eps. left on that, so big crunch on that till Friday) -- there's too much good tv these days!!!

It's back! *tackleglomps the show, hugs it and calls it George*
Okay, so I've already seen the premiere. Twice. But third time's the charm, right?
Isn't the kid who played Beaver on Big Love, too? The young leads on VM are great; it's no surprise they're being used in other places.
You're right Plum, Kyle Gallner is also a Big Love/VM alumn.
*hugs the show posessively* I don't know what I'll do if Dawn Ostroff pulls an "Everwood" with my beloved Veronica. All I know is that it won't be a pretty sight.
I've seen the premiere once and then skipped to my favorite scenes a second time. I can't wait to watch it with my mom--for me half the fun is watching her to see how she reacts.
I LOVE this show!
I have already sent Jason IMs that say WHAT!?! and "F8CKING AMAZING!"
*Spolier question*
Can some explain the shooting in the desert?
That had me a bit confused as well. At first I thought he shot Kendall, but now I'm wondering if he didn't kill Vinnie.

Okay, here goes my guess:
SPOILERS
Okay, remember the Fitzpatricks from last season? Big bad crime family? It was mentioned that Kendall used to run cons with Cormac Fitzpatrick, and that she once went to prison to spare him the three-strikes law because she loved him. She had a ton of money- from the Phoenix Land Trust, I guess- and wanted to leave the country for some unspecified beach place. No doubt someplace with no strong extradition laws. That's why she came to Keith with the briefcase full of money- she probably paid him a LOT for the job, enough to get Veronica that new car.
The problem with Kendall and Cormac running off into the sunset is Cormac's brother Liam, the guy who tried to shoot Keith last season. He'd probably want some of the money, too. So the plan as Kendall saw it was that Keith would pick up Cormac, get him and Kendall fake documents, and get them together so they could escape the country.
What was really happening was a double cross- Cormac was lying to Kendall and actually working with Liam to grab all the money from the Land Trust for the Fitzpatricks. That's why he killed Kendall and needed to kill Keith to get rid of any witnesses. He needed to pretend to be part of Kendall's plan so that he could get access to the money through her.
Um, I think that's it, anyway.

That's what I assume happened as well. But all my spoiler sites said that Keith would feel guilty for the death of someone we've all come to know and love. I don't know that Kendall fits that bill, but Vinnie Van Lowe certainly would.
It was almost a relief that things went down like this. I was freaking out that the show was going to kill Cliff.

If they ever killed off Cliff McCormack I'd be peeved.
I also think that Daran Norris needs to be in more of my favorite shows and not just two of them.
As long as Loretta Cancun continues to be an ongoing gag, I will be happy.

My only wish is that Cliff become's Lamb's campaign manager for the next sherrif election.

The premiere was amazing. I didnt know that you could watch it online, I wish I had. Veronica is back and better than ever. I loved her and her dad talking about their NY trip. I knew that Mac's friend Parker was going to be a victim of the date rape frat house thing. I'm loving the new season, and Piz is gonna be a good member of the newly formed- Veronica, Logan, Piz triange. Any word on if Duncan will return this season?
I thought Kendall was killed, I wasn't sure. But thank for clearing that up.
I wonder if VM kept GG's lead in?
I am really getting into this show.
(I know, I know Kitz and Plum... finally)
It is smart, engaging, and well written, like Gilmore Girls used to be.

Gilmore Girls did not do well in competition with House- it even lost the "young female" demographic. Once House moves to 9pm post-baseball, I'm sure it'll be VM getting crushed.
Duncan's gone for good. He had a fun exit, though, didn't he?

Yes, he ran off with Meg's baby, but I wasnt sure if he'd come back NEVER again or not.
"Once House moves to 9pm post-baseball, I'm sure it'll be VM getting crushed. "
WHY god, why!
Its not fair to crush poor little VM.
Asshole execs!
God, it's like Cain and Abel--one of my favorite shows beating up my most favorite show in the ratings. Blah.

Same here, Kitz. And when Scrubs comes back in January I'll really be in trouble. Why the hell do all three shows I watch air at the same time?
"The CW premiere of "Veronica Mars" retained more of its "Gilmore Girls" lead-in among adults 18-34 (77%, 1.7/5) and adults 18-49 (70%, 1.4/3) than "Veronica" did a year ago following "America's Next Top Model" on UPN.
"With "Gilmore Girls" as its lead-in, "Veronica Mars" delivered its third highest-rated telecast ever among adults 18-34 (tie), its second best telecast ever in adults 18-49 (tie), and its fourth most watched episode ever (3.3 million) since its debut two years ago."
I guess it could be worse....

Thats pretty good.
They just need to keep GG as their lead in and as long as they keep most of their lead in they will stick around.
