Hmm...maybe he's confusing MySpace with that site Catch27.

Actually, today this guy came in and lectured my entire class on MySpace. It totally worked on me.
I went home, deleted all my personal information (minus first name and pictures),and put it on "safe mode". I'm still convinced some old man who lives in is mother's basement is gonna come kill me.
*paranoia*

I got a friend request a long time ago from this guy who wanted to "collect" all the Melanies on myspace. It was wayy creepy. Like creepy being a total understatement. But I added him anyways.
Heh, last year some guy on Facebook tried to friend me because he wanted a Jessica from every school on Facebook. That was kinda freaky.

I still don't have a myspace. I've gotten a couple of weird PMs, but nothing recently.
Does anyone want to show me their picture with Mano? *bats eyelashes*

Sorry to butt in on the Mano/My Space creepiness convo you got going.
But Telecharge.com now has Mano's gig listed. But they're not selling tickets yet. Don't know when they'll go onsale, but it should be sometime this month.

Posted: 3/8/06 at 7:38pmDid you mean to say that Joe's Pub has him listed? Because I just checked telecharge and it's still not up there.
#1587The Land of Mano, where the violins roam freely
Posted: 3/8/06 at 7:41pmI'm gonna kick Telecharge's proverbial ass really, really soon.

No, no. I meant Telecharge. Do a serch under venue. Joe's Pub: Manoel Felciano shows up. But tickets are currently not on sale.
eta: I swear it's there. It doesn't show up if you search Manoel Felciano. But it does show up if you search under venue.

Weiird. He's not coming up for me.
WTF is up with my telecharge? I swear I'm not crazy.

#1592The Land of Mano, where the violins roam freely
Posted: 3/8/06 at 7:45pmRush question for the expert: do you have to get there exactly 2 hours before, or would you be able to get something like... half an hour or less before curtain?

I usually buy 'em half an hour before the show. I'm not sure if they sell the rush tickets 2 hours before. (Most shows don't, they wait for one hour to 30 minutes before curtain).
Sweeney's rarely sold out, so it's usually not a problem to get rush tickets.

My mom saw the show Sunday and I had her ask when she was there. They start selling them two hours before, apparently, but it sounds like the kind of policy where the later you go, the better your seats might be. Reverse logic.
I have classes til 7 and I'm 20 minutes from the theatre. Do-able.

Oh cool! Spring Break is kind of soon...

Yeah, makes sense. I once got there 15 minutes early, and got pretty good seats at rush prices. They hold those off till the last minute.
Two friends of mine are seeing the show right now. Front row seats. (!!!!)

Yeah, they keep them to make sure they can't sell them for full price before they release them for rush. Sneaky, sneaky...
My friend sat front row, and she said Michael is like a human shower.
#1598The Land of Mano, where the violins roam freely
Posted: 3/8/06 at 8:07pmLOL. I was in the 4th row when I saw it, and I could see the clouds of spit every time Michael sang.

I sat in the first row, and I agree with your friend.
