The police have demanded that people stopped by them show respect, don't talk back, don't object, don't resist. In other words to watch it and...
"be very careful with an encounter with the police"
And that's exactly what de Blasio told his son was the way to behave.
So please explain to me how de Blasio's advice to his son was in any way contrary to what the police are demanding from those they stop.
