"I am an American citizen. I'm allowed to stand on American ground.”
This SH*T should be eligible for the Oscars.

Wow.
And I'm sorry but I lose any and all respect for anyone who uses the "don't you know who I am" line.
That's her husband standing right there, right? You can see the second-hand embarrassment collapsing over him.
How does she not know this could only be bad for her image?

I like when her husband says, "I have nothing to do with that."

I think she does know. I believe her when she says it was poor judgment and that she and her husband are sorry about it. I've done stupid things in my life. We live and learn. No, being a celebrity does not in any way excuse bad behavior. But then it doesn't make it worse than anyone else doing it either.
Witherspoon on her arrest: I panicked
Oh, her husband totally threw her under the bus with that last line.
I wonder how long it'll be before they divorce?
She seems more panicked that pissed. And she doesn't seem that drunk.
I love love love Reese and she can't really do wrong in my eyes. She's still human.
As for the "Do you know who I am?" We all act entitled. Whatever her defense, she apologized and we should move on. This isn't the worst thing a celebrity has done.
I might watch ELECTION tonight. Just because.

I'm with the ones who see this as a tempest in a teapot. Some people appear to hold their liquor better than others. Just because she wasn't falling down, sloppy drunk doesn't mean her judgement wasn't impaired. She had one or a few too many, freaked out and mouthed off to an officer. She was stupid but not horrible. She didn't take a swing at him, spit at him, swear at him (she even called him "sir") or resist arrest.
I also don't have a problem with her husband saying, "I'm sorry - I have nothing to do with that.". He was in enough trouble as it was. Was he supposed to back up her unreasonable, entitled behavior?
It was an unfortunate incident. Fortunately, no one was harmed. She has admitted to poor judgement and tendered what seems to be a sincere apology (though I do hope she has apologized to the officer personally).
I am not a fan of hers, but I see no reason to make this a bigger deal than it was.
This isn't the worst thing a celebrity has done.
No it isn't but it is one of the worst things anyone can do: getting in a car intoxicated, she wasn't driving but her husband was and he was intoxicated as well. They were putting themselves and others in danger.
At most she's realized that it was wrong and has apologized for it, though in all reality she owed herself, her family and the law enforcement officers the apology, not the public.
I can't believe her husband told the officer, "I have nothing to do with that". When in reality he has everything to do with it.
I think it stinks that he did that. He was trying to save his own ass.
I have been telling people that Reese had a reputation for being a piece of work since high school. No one believed me. lol

I would have believed you!
I know this isn't some major deal or a career-ender or anything. I just never really cared for her, so it's funny to see someone you think is probably an asshole actually acting like an asshole.
And as for "everyone" acting entitled, sure, I guess that's true. But I can't see myself acting that way in front of a cop who stopped the drunk driver I was in a car with. And since there will be no repercussions from this that they won't be able to slide past because they are wealthy, the embarrassment they're sure to feel and the schadenfreude they'll encounter from it are pretty well-deserved.
As for her not seeming that drunk but probably still being pretty drunk, I certainly hope so. I'd hope that thinking saying "I'm pregnant and have to pee" in hopes of mitigating the situation wasn't something a sober person would think up.
Did anyone else notice how she starts to make fun of the police officer's accent?

I just assumed it was her natural accent coming through because of all the drunkiness.
She wasn't using it up until about 1:06 when she says "Yes, Sir I DO" and she gets all twangy in response to his question. She was clearly being a bitch with that.

I'm gonna start going to Reese Witherspoon movies drunk and claim it's my right as an American citizen to stand on American cinema ground and act a fool.
I don't know. I have always liked her. I don't think she does anything that bad in the video. I kind of like her more now.
I've always liked her, too. And I wish she would have been all punk rock in it, holding a bottle of Jack and taking a piss on the hood of the car in protest.
""Did anyone else notice how she starts to make fun of the police officer's accent?""
you do realize that she was born and raised in The South right?
Yes, stupid bitch. I do realize that.
Anyways, back to Reese.

The Russian girl is fiction. Actually, I think our Russian girl is, too.
Let's talk about Reese and ignore the troll.
