The Rent Welcome Wagon

Posted: 11/23/04 at 11:19pmI was going to find a picture since I couldn't figure out how to accurately describe it, but that works, Shbrt. Basically a cross between a fork and a spoon; saves plasticware.

on "sporks"...
you mean those plastic things you used to get in the cafeteria?
All I can say is - I haven't eaten anything that comes with a "spork" in over 20 years....
I prefer chopsticks and the food that goes with it.
next questionl...
what are your favorite TV shows?
LAW & ORDER (original)
SOUTH PARK!!!
DAVE CHAPPELLE!!!
do you like spongebob squarepants?
Yes (and most cartoons - especially classic ones)
you all keep saying freak as if it's a bad thing!!!!!
Well, to quote MACY GRAY
"everybody's shakin'
time to be free among yourselves
your mama told you to be discreet
and keep your freak to yourself...
but your mama lied to you all this time
she knows as well as you and I
you must express what is troubeling you
and share your freak with the rest of us
cause it's a beautiful thang.... a beautiful thang!"

this is a copy and paste from the website Emcee linked for us. Description to good not to post.
"A spork is a blend of spoon and a fork. It is round like a spoon, and shallow enough to consume liquids, with 3 or 4 tines, or prongs, on the end that act like a fork. The prongs may be used to consume substances like meat and poultry. "

I do believe we've sufficiently exhausted the "spork" topic.

Taking the hint...
Fredi, I don't know if you would answer this, but do you know if other broadway actors ever read message boards?

This is actually from a friend of mine, and not me --
"Which member of the original cast would you like to bang the most?"
No need to actually follow that one up with an answer, hahaha!
As for me, I'm still in "non-creative" land.

non-creative? (well, maybe in comparison to the spork) lets take a look at the idina question once again...

Sorry!
Alright - here's my legitimate question.
You said you'd possibly be interested in The Color Purple.... read it a long time ago, but amazing book. How do you think it will translate to the stage, as a musical?

repost of my question cuz it got lost in the, uh, utensil commentary
What are your opinions on newer shows which have often been compared to Rent: Zanna, Don't! bare & especially Avenue Q?

ok, question time... since i've been filling this thread with crap...
from a fan's viewpoint, not who sings it, which RENT song (or songs) are your favorite? least favorite?

banging the OBC
no comment (too hard to answer anyway - did you SEE the guys in that show? I was single then...
)
re: Color Purple
I belive it COULD be brilliant. I just hope it IS! The film is beautiful but tame and that annoyed me. It's not a pretty story (though a triumphant one) and I'd hate to see it watered-down again.
the music that I've heard so far is off the hook - let's just hope the book is too!!
so tell me -
have any of you been to NYC? What did you do? How does it compare to where you live..?
