What are you guys going to use for the forum? Invisionfree works well - http://s6.invisionfree.com/Quibbler_Online They're easy to manage, I made the layout for his one, minus adding the little Harry icons, and I'm computer challenged (I used a skin maker, the codding is complicated)

here's a question... Is there a real reason why she melts when she gets wet? I read the book and have seen the musical and it seems they only make references to it but don't actually say why. The only idea I have is from when someone said "I hear her soul is so unclean..pure water could melt her"
just wondering.

In the musical the whole 'melting' thing is a ruse that Fiayro and Elphaba come up with. Fiayro hears somebody say that water will melt her, and then he promotes that idea (in a few instances in the show). But, as we find out in the end, the water really does nothing to her and it was all a ruse. So in the musical the water thing is just a ploy that they come up with to fake Elphaba's death. I think he came up with the idea after hearing some yokel say it (the line you quoted, I think).

In the book, I am not sure either. I think it had something to do with the circumstances of her birth, but I would have to re-read it to really figure it out.

O M G that makes so much sense!!!! My mouth dropped when i was reading that! For some reason whenever i saw it(3 times) i didn't even think like how she was able to "melt" and then be back. But then is it supposed to be that in the castle there was a trap door too? o jeez so many questions..that makes so much sense. I never even heard the re-call instances. hah im still baffled that i never realized that the water doesn't melt her!
Yea in the book i thought they would reveal it but i never found out.

yep, once you have a runboard account you can post!

if you have trouble signing up (like the confirmation doesnt arrive) your email provider mightve thought the confirmation was junk. so maybe try a different email.

im sure theres tons more forums we could add. im really not very happy with the forum yet- so much more to do --- titles, smilies, buttons... *SOMEONE* was being a nag about opening it up.
