I thought it was amazing!
It really felt like the end of a novel.
How else would it end in a satisfying way?
Everyone was bound to be disappointed.

For those of us that chose the other Tony to fill our evening, give us a recap!

The end of a novel??? It ended in the middle of a scene; a scene that made no sense whatsoever. Tony walks into a diner and sees himself??? I repeat... WTF WAS THAT??? After a 10-year investment, I expected a little more. Make that a lot more. The episode was a mess. It was all over the place with fragmented scenes that went no where. And it all added up to a s#!tload of crap! A major, major disappointment!
The more things change the more things stay the same, basically.
I get the message and and I get the point. It was just sort of anticlimactic after all the buildup and hype. I expected loose ends, but not this many.
And yeah, I feel like I've been taken for a ride, because it's NOT real life. It's a story that I invested a lot of time in, and it kind of pisses me off to be left hanging.

For those wanting a breakdown:
Nothing happened. And it was perfect.
Phil was whacked. And then his head was run over by his car.
The final scene was perfect. They're in a diner, everyone's life is perfect. They lead you up to believe something huge.
And then, nothing.
Just remember: The Sopranos was NEVER about tying up loose ends.
Hi iflitifloat.
I got that too. The more things change the more they stay the same. The tension we felt for them is probably something that's always going to be with them. from other crime families, from disloyal members of "the family," or from the justice system.

I was on the edge of my seat. The Journey song playing in the background was perfect. Great ending.
I'm ready for the movie

Black out.

Jamie Lynn Siegler will get a series about learning to park.
Where did so many people get the idea that there's going to be a movie??? That was something that was discussed and rejected three or four seasons back when Chase considered ending the series then. I believe he's repeatedly stated that tonight's episode is the absolute last chapter in the saga of the Soprano family. There isn't going to be a movie. And after tonight's uninspired mess, I prey he doesn't change his mind. Basta!
What was the meaning behind Meadows parking problems and walking in last?
Yes I liked the ending, I just didn't get it...

I was kidding about the movie. The point is. he doesn't die. It leaves it wide open.. just in case they change their minds.

Though the music never ends it goes on and on and on and on.

Nothing technical (Meadow parking, Tony ordering onion rings, etc) in the last scene had any significance to the show - they were just running out the song, to be able to cut it at "Don't sto--."
Perfect ending. David Chase did a great job projecting Tony's uneasey-ness with life into our suspense.
