Minor problem. The host site that I wanted to upload the files to has something...wrong with it. I don't know. It's not letting me register. So I'll get the first post cleaned up soon and get all the expired links down.

If you don't want to listen to us...I would highly recommend downloading (or just listening if you have them) "Top Of the World" by Dixie Chicks, "Why Should I Cry For You" by Sting and "Still Fighting It" by Ben Folds...

not really related...but currently playing in my iTunes and making my night even that more musical.

First of---Barnaby is an exceptional name (perhaps I'm partial because it's still my favorite role to date from HELLO, DOLLY!)

anyways---I was so impressed by "Radames' Letter". I felt like it took you a little while to get into, and was it just me or did it sound like you were very far away when recording this? Anyways...I feel like you could invest more, give it a little more "umph". I loved the riff's though.

Yeah Barnaby,

I come from a pop/rock influence, so I really appreciated the riffs. Good control on them, and you didn't overdo it.

Thanks Steph :) That's very kind of you!.. I've been wanting to do more broadway recordings.. Maybe I'll get around to that these next couple of weeks. Most of what I have of broadway are duets right now..

well, I FINALLY bought a mic for my computer that WORKS...
and hopefully, SOMEDAy yousendit.com will load, but until then you'll all have to wait.

You could try using a website like daretosing or singersshowcase.. That way it would be as permanent as you want! Congrats on the new mic.. what kind did you get? I use a sure sm58.. I love it. One of these days I want a condenser recording mic, but when you aren't using a booth, they are too sensitive, so I'll keep dreaming lol

No, I think it's because you used the computer to record it. The Windows records up to one minute.

If you are using a program to record that will do the whole song (yes windows recorder only does about a minute), then you just either save it as an mp3 if you have that option, or use a converter. There are free converters out there like Cdex that will change your wave into an mp3 file. I use cool edit to record, (there are free programs like Ntrack studio) so I can just save it as an mp3. The mp3 will be small enough for you to upload the whole song to daretosing or singersshowcase. If you have a free acccount, you will probably have to make it around a 60 - 80kbps mp3. If you have a paying account, you most likely can get away with a higher bitrate like 128 or 160kbps.

Yep, can we have people to get their own dmusic/daretosing/soundclick/whatever accounts? And then submit the link to their page to me?

I've been trying to register with this host for quite a while, but it's not...happening. I don't know why.
