I didn't hear from my best friend. I didn't get a present from my mom because she got me an MP3 player a few weeks ago... which was my idea, and I pretended I wasn't sad that I had nothing to open this morning. But I was. And my grandfather showed up after supper... I figured it was for cake. So he comes in and is like, "They put up the headstone today (my grandmother's). Do you want to take a drive up and look at it?" Nooooo, we do not.
I have to go for a little while, but for nia in case she logs back in: I genuinely hope you figured out what was going on with your parents and that everything's alright.
I opened my birthday envelope - yes, just an envelope with some money in it - from my grandfather this morning and went to the mall. That was the extent of my day! I bought a pair of capris and two t-shirts. But then I came home and tried on my Easter capris that are too small (goal pants!) and they ALMOST fit me. But then I ate a big piece of cake. I'll have to go for a run tomorrow.
I'm still super pissed that I didn't hear from my best friend though.
That cake looks yummy. Mom made this chocolate cake/cream cheese/Cool Whip/Oreo concoction. Absolutely amazing. I consoled myself with it this evening.
Thanks, you guys! I think I'm going to head to bed. Big hugs!
She said she had a lot of work to do, so hopefully she's occupied with that.
These are job interviews I take it? I think looking alert and pulled together is the most important thing. Wear the kind of thing that people doing that job would wear, but look neat.
I'm not sure the pants ofrskirt issue matters much anymore, especially if you're going to be working in a casual atmosphere. If it's for an office job, maybe a skirt would be better, but really, the most important thing is that you feel you're looking good.
