I'm jetlagged and feel in the mood to share something banal. Hmm...

I just rearranged my entire New York trip when I found out Patti was going to be out of Sweeney for the week. I'm going to laugh/cry when she's out sick the night we see it. Banal is boringly brilliant

Today had best be better than yesterday's stunning combination of crappy weather, arguments, emotional hell and dreariness.

But it's warm and sunny, so maybe that's a start.

Are you in NYC, Calvin? I'm totally being reminded of the Sex and the City episode where Carrie gets woken up by roosters on the rooftop across the street from her apartment.

I had quite an interesting discussion of religious philosophy last night/this morning. My sleep schedule is hopelessly screwed up.

The strap of my flip-flop broke when I was out to get breakfast this morning. I have an awful habit of wearing them until they're literally falling part.

I think I'm having a pretty banal Saturday afternoon.

It looks rather flat and the boob area is messed up, but there it is. Banal is boringly brilliant It's a bit darker than what you see in the photo -- the flash washed it out a bit.

Aw, thanks girls! Yeah, it's definitely princessed-out, but I wanted something totally different from my other dresses (which tend to be slim and black). I'm THIS close to getting a Glinda-esque tiara.

By the way, I hope everyone has a better day today. Banal is boringly brilliant We certainly don't need a repeat of yesterday.
