That's sweet, SorryGreatful. Will you get to baby her, then, if she's disabled?
*takes angst off of thread* I know it gets really old sometimes.
My art teacher finally decided to start paying attention to my half of the class again. She'd ignored us for two solid weeks and no one got more than a couple of sketches done.
What separates the two halves....?
I remember working with this kitten who had... some sort of undiagnosed neurological problem, and the poor thing was so spastic. His head bobbed, and he fell down a lot. He could hardly eat sometimes without smashing his face in his food.

It's IB art, Emcee. I'm in Higher Level and she's been too busy with the Standard Level kids to talk to us at all.
That poor kitten. Did it survive? I think I'd cry if I had to see such an innocent creature suffer that way.

Oh my god, em, that's so sad! This kitty just had her leg amputated on Friday, so she's falling over a lot. Plus she has a little vision difficulties because her left eye was scarred when she had a very bad upper respiratory infection in the shelter. How could I not want to take this kitty home and baby the hell out of it?
So, to answer your question, insomniak, oh yeah. Katygrace and I are going to Petco tonight for supplies to pamper it.
It, amazingly, didn't really affect his general health. He had to be force-fed on his bad days, but yes, he did live.... as far as I knew of him. He got a really nice home, but after a while, even with effort, the shelters tend to lose track of their animals. He seemed to be getting better with age, but it was probably not something that would go away.
Why did your kitty get the leg amputated?
Speaking of eyes, I met a kitty with no eyes, once, too. She was the most gorgeous cat I've ever seen, too. I wish I had a picture, but she died suddenly at like... 10 weeks.
re: art, lo siento. I thought your whole class was IB, and that the other kids were separate.

Good luck taking care of the new kitten! Poor thing.
Someone I know used to have a brain damaged rabbit. It was sad but soooo cuddly. It would just lay there in your arms with its head flopped over until you were tired of holding it.

I saw the kitten's chart and it just said, "Leg deformed. Recommend amputation." My poor baby...

The whole art class is IB, but there are different levels within it. We don't have enough (there are only nine IB HL art kids) to have our own class.
SorryG, give her a few extra pets for me and post pictures. I love kitties. Maybe she'll be more snuggly than the average cat, too, because of her condition.
A cat with no eyes? Strange. How did it get along?
Was the rabbit born that way, or did something happen to it?
SG, so it was born with a deformity? Hm.
The cat with no eyes got on okay. It wasn't ugly or anything, it just looked like her eyes were closed; like when a stuffed animal's eyes fall off and there's nothing there. There weren't weird holes, or anything. Animals especially, though, with sense disabilities compensate and whatnot. She died from something totally unrelated, though. She caught distemper before she was old enough to get vaccinated. She was so snuggly, too.

I'm not sure how it became brain damaged, but it was born normal. Some sort of disease, I think.
There are like 30 HL IB Art kids at my school, which is not surprising. Everyone had to choose between HL Art, Bio, or Theater.
*stabs History IA*
Banal, I have this white chocolate bunny that I got for easter, and I don't want to eat it because it's pretty.
That's why I don't eat Peeps. Too cute.

That's a random assortment to choose from. Do they force you to take two other HL classes and only let you pick one, then? Everyone here has to take HL English.
I'm finally done with my history IA. What part are you on?
I'm glad to hear that that kitten will have a good home, SorryGrateful.
I don't want to go to my meeting. Maybe not a good sign, since I'll be president of this club next year.
We all have to take HL English and History of the Americas, and then choose one of the other 3.
I'm working on evaluating the sources and such.

HL? IA? What are these things?

What club, ss?

For the Evaluation of Sources, you should try to talk about how you used them, what was good about them, what was bad, what bias might exist in the author and how you worked with it.

It's a really pretentious, tough, interational academic program for highschoolers that's at or above AP level.
What club, siren?
I really need a cuddly pet. I need some love right now.
*kicks internet connection* It barely works.
Our school's psyhology honor society. I really love it, honestly, I've just been kind of lacking in motivation for all things this semester. This meeting will probably be kind of tedious because we've procrastinated on planning inductions.

oh I've heard of IB, but they don't offer it at my school. I was curious about IA and HL. I guess they're all part of the same thing?

Everybody ought to have a cuddly pet, insomniak. I recommend you get one. Stat!
Bunny?
I want a pet.
AP.... I don't get AP. It's not standardized enough, save for the exam, and depends entirely too much on what school you go to. I think I would've rather done IB, if I had the option. I feel like taking all of those AP classes didn't do all that much for me; the credits are not all that transferrable. *rants*
Banal observation for the day: I don't understand people. At all.
HL=Higher Level. There are Higher Lever classes (HL) and Standard Level classes (SL). We have to take 3 of each.
IA=Internal Assessment. Um, papers and such that we have to write for the classes.

My bunny is very furry, but she's extremely resistant to being held. She can tell when someone's trying to pick her up and she'll run under the futon and stay there for ages.
IB is not really all that standard either, or at least it isn't in my school. This is our first year and no one really knows what they're doing.
Why don't you understand people?
iheartheatre- IA= Internal Assesment, papers you have to write and send to other countries to be graded by the IBO.
