Bagel bread is banally bizarre

Maybe she'll be able to tell you're feeling down and she'll cut you a break. Pets are smart like that.

Does IB require teacher certification from the program? I don't think AP does.
Mandi, internal assessment of....? Are those just deep papers?

I just... don't. For one example, my stupid, stupid mother picking a fight we've had a million times with me, today. Another: my brother and his blankets? Or, suddenly recieving contact in the form of Facebook messages from people who dropped out of my life 5 years ago? I mean, it's a nice gesture, but... what do I say to them? Or, hearing from people I never expected to hear from, yet not the ones who I would expect to hear from -- people who I was at least close with when I graduated from high school, perhaps. I don't get it. I don't get anybody.

I feel so morbid. *droops*

ahhh I see. We just call the higher level courses "Honors".

I hate AP classes, yet I take them anyway. It's stupid how the main focus of the class is learning how to score well on the test. I mean I want to do well on the test, but I also want to actually learn something. /rant

That's weird; my AP classes, save for the last couple of weeks before the exam, had very little mention of how to score well on the test. It was just like a regular (really hard) course with an evil exam tacked on.

We have honors courses too, but they're a heck of a lot easier than real IB HL classes. It's not the same thing with a different name.

Hm. People do suck.

IB teachers go through training and I think they have to be certified, but if they honestly passed my Spanish teacher the requirements must be minimal. Either that or they have never seen him with a class.

They're just really deep papers.

And yeah, all of the teachers have to be certified.
#1781

Bagel bread is banally bizarre

A lot. *mopes*

It may just be like... training, and never being observed with a class. That would be awfully time consuming.

No need to mope. Isn't it your birthday? Call your friends over and take a break from The Papers Of Doom.

Mandi, I spent a good three hours editing my Analysis to get it down to the maximum word count, only to find out AFTER I handed it in that the section word counts were SUGGESTIONS, not requirements. ARGH.

oh okay, insomniak.

Even if people suck, you shouldn't be moping today, Emcee. Go eat cake or something. :)

.....yes.

I... don't have cake. It's no fun to make your OWN birthday cake.

My friend are busy/far away/MIA for other reasons.

it's a mopey birthday.

Email some of them. At least you could look forward to their responses.

I've been thinking about emailing QM for a while now, but I have no idea what I'd say.

ooh. Chinese food.

You should e-mail QM. I don't know if she has reliable internet, but she'd like that, I'm sure.

I... meh. Most of it is distance, since my closest friends are on BWW. (sad? Yeah.) So there's nobody I could really e-mail and be excited for getting a response from. My casual friends here don't seem to care. I don't want to call anyone, that's pretentious. And I shouldn't send an e-mail I want to send, nor do I plan on speaking to my family.

Everything is going wrong. There's a very good chance that my mom has cancer. My jazz teacher hates me and thinks that I'm mad at her. I couldn't get to sleep last night because I had such a bad headache, and now I'm exhausted. I feel like the world is against me.
