I got the greatest compliment tonight. I am working on a production of "Joseph". I am just one of the wives, though I am actually dueting Canaan Days with one of the brothers. We've been in rehearsals over 2 months now and I felt like I hadn't gotten any feedback from the production team either positive or negative on any aspect of my performance.
Tonight the accompanist/pit conductor actually sought me out after rehearsal to tell me that I "have an incredible voice". He's worked with a lot of the theaters in the area, and is a phenomenal musician, so it couldn't have meant more from any other person. Totally made my fairly crappy day into a pretty good one.
"You just can't win. Ever. Look at the bright side, at least you are not stuck in First Wives Club: The Musical. That would really suck. "
