Honestly, I think it was just the type of building one would find near the woods where people/zombies could be and to give whatserface a chance to have a dramatic moment with Jesus.

"Or maybe he was commenting on organized religion? I know he's not fan."
In the way Romero commented on consumerism at the malls with DotD, definitely.
That was an EXCELLENT mid-season finale last night. I even teared up at the end. I can't wait for February for the show to return!

it most certainly was! as much as I hated the Sophia storyline and week after week I was getting annoyed... the resolution was just so damn sad! i absolutely love this show... and if it comes down to it... i am on Team Rick!
That last 10 minutes was just about the best TV I've seen in a long time! Hands down, best show on TV
I don't know that it's the best show on TV, but this was pretty brilliant. I'm glad the Sophia thing is all tied up now.
Well, maybe I should have said "hands down, my favorite show on TV right now." Love it!
Woot! I'm hoping for more crotch grabbing between Andrea and Shane. And maybe more of Jimmy???
Awesome news - AMC renewed TALKING DEAD for another season as well! It looks like both that and WALKING DEAD season 3 will have 16 episodes. Good news!
I'm always behind the curve because I wait for the season dvds and catch up with a marathon.
I'm wrapping up season 2 now. Amazing.
The only complaint I have is that they have pretty much ignored T-Dog. Give the guy something to work with. He had some early story development going with Dale, but after the second show he's really become the token black guy.
And how adorable is Glenn? I love that little guy.
What I love most about this show is that the character development feels organic. People don't change from one episode to the next to satisfy a plot point. They feel real.
Except maybe Daryl, who remains an enigma. Why was he so obsessed with finding Sophia? I know Merle returns in season 3 and that should be very interesting.....
I think Season 3 is going to be a treat for everybody. Some of the favorites from the comic series finally get to emerge (one of whom makes a cameo in the finale-- it it AWESOME).
The only request I have is that they kill off Carol already.
Is it me or is she annoying as hell.
HuffPost has 2 great slideshows up:
I read that Andrea and Michonne will remain separated from the group (who will be holed up in the prison) which is pretty cool.
They will end up in a town run by The Governor.
And yes, Merle will be back with a claw hand. Can not wait to see how that dynamic plays out with Norman Reedus' character.
(still hoping they kill off Carol)

I am GIDDY. Crammed the entire series into the last few months. Simply incredible. Its like a really good Lost with zombies, blood and actual characters (besides Charlie <3). Ok, its nothing like Lost.
