Every time I wonder how they'll possibly get Nancy out of her latest mess they come along with a blindside. What do people think? Is she really pregnant or was that just a ruse to buy herself some time?
I really hope that next season sees the return of Conrad and Heylia. I thought this season was great, but I was watching some of the previous seasons the other days and I really miss the two of them.
I've also started to wonder if - when the show finally winds down to its last episodes (I don't know if the coming season is the last or not, but at some point it will spark its last joint) - Nancy will eventually wind up dead. Each season has gotten her into more and more dangerous predicaments and I wonder how long she can keep effing up before the damage she causes is too big for her to get herself out of.
I don't like where the show has gone at all. Nancy and Celia don't have the sisterly love/hate relationship anymore. We don't see her as a maternal figure AT ALL. They had to throw Andy some bogus storyline, because he was barely featured. He's lost his place as the sex addict, because Silas grew into that role. And now, they're pulling this Knots Landing stunt.
I doubt she's pregnant. And if she is, I think it's Andys. There's a reason why the director spent 2 or 3 minutes of that Disney music/scene on "Andy and Nancy in the bathtub" sequence. Andy knows what's up and I think this baby thing was his solution to it. Andy is growing more into the Conrad role, to Nancy's life; her solid rock.
The bathtub scene was the same day as Silas' birthday, which was the same night she was in Mexico, so I doubt it was her and Andy's solution to her not getting killed. I think they might really make her pregnant.
I was not expecting the Andy in love with Nancy part. It seems unnecessary.
Doug maybe killing himself, I don't really care. I never liked Doug.
I am so sick of the rebellious children of this show. The parents have ****ed up, but the kids have gotten too extreme. Quinn drugging her mom and holding her hostage for $200,000? Shane starting to sell weed while he's in middle school?
I watch this show just for the hell of it. It's entertaining, but it's not one of my favorites anymore.
I think it's one of the most brilliant shows on tv. I, personally, love all the twists and turns the show has taken. The more wacky and out of control it gets, the more I'm sucked in. I've loved watching all the characters grow and change into these people who are polar opposites of where they started out.
I don't know - is the baby real? Who does it belong to? I can't believe we have to wait 9 months to find out! But, I for one, am excited to see. And, yes, she's got to turn up dead at some point, right? Though, she's gotten herself out of every other situation.
I think if it didn't get out of control, it wouldn't be realistic. I liked the lighthearted earlier season(s), but with the holes Nancy B keeps digging, there's no way it couldn't get out of control.
There's no way the baby is Andy's. None. Even if she is pregnant and it is Esteban's, I can't wait to see how she wiggles out the last round of messes she's made - she's made an enemy of the DEA and of Guillermo.
I still want me some Conrad and Heylia next year!
And Doug didn't kill himself. He was performing auto-erotic asphyxiation.
The only person they've shown her having sex with all season has been Esteban, so who else's would it be? She was too sincere when she told him; usually they portray her as a much more awkward liar.
I kind of suspected something like this would happen. She spent most of the season working in a maternity store, and even more time realizing what a horrible mother she was to Silas and Shane. Not to mention the fact that four seasons of indiscriminate sex was bound to catch up with her.
I miss Conrad and Helia too. Especially Conrad.
I have watched this show from the beginning. Now I think I am done with it. Nancy has become a really unlikeable character and I already disliked most of the other characters. This show causes anxiety for me. It is no longer a comedy.
Yeah, I doubt the baby would be anyone else's. Your point is taken about her being a terrible liar, but I wouldn't put anything past her, including faking a sonogram.
I still think she's going to wind up dead by the time it's all over.

Season 4 was pretty much horrible. Season 3 was anything special either, but much better than 4. Everything that happened the entire season could have occurred in a group of 3 or 4 episodes tops. I was really disappointed.
I still love the show, even though I don't like a single character on the show (haven't from the get-go), but I really hope they do something more with the show for the next two seasons. I know Showtime renewed for at least two more seasons, so maybe the sixth will be the final season?

Ditto. ESPECIALLY Conrad. He's pretty. And I loved the dynamic he had with Nancy. I miss his presence in the show.
Really hated season 4. REALLY hated it.
If in Heaven you don't excel, you can always party down in hell...
WOAH! What the crap have I missed? I stopped watching at season 3...
WOW! That is all I have to say. Nancy is sleeping with Andy. Quin's back? (Is it the same actress?)
Has the older son gotten any hotter? The Spring Awakening guy? HOT!
I cannot believe how messed up this show sounds likeit's become.

I don't think she's pregnant. Too convenient. Plus, she needs more trouble to get herself out of next season. Good one, Nancy.
I really don't like the direction Shane has moved in; whatever happened to the moral center?
Nancy isn't sleeping with Andy, that was the first episode Quinn has been in since season one and yes, it's the same actress.
The best move they made in Season Four:
Naked Hunter Parrish.
I think she's actually pregnant and it is definitely not Andy's. The bathtub scene was very strange, and I'm really interested to see what happens there, but no sexual contact - no baby. The finale was disappointing to me, especially when the other season finales have been so exciting. This was sort of like, "Oh, well, I guess she's not going to die."
It was too Desperate Housewives. This is Showtime, not ABC. you know?

Not in the immediate gun-to-her-head sense like the end of season 2, but making Cesar her enemy is pretty much the metaphorical equivalent.
I didn't really understand the whole thing with Quinn.
Love this show. Hated the finale.

Yes, but the look on Esteban's face clearly indicated that he had an immediate change of heart.
Esteban having a change of heart doesn't mean Nancy is safe from all his associates.
I liked season 4- not my favorite season but still funny, out of control, and not at all realistic (which is fine). I seem to be the only person on the board who does not want Haylia and Conrad back- I didn't like their characters at all last season. Shane is a waste of a character- totally unbelieveable, and boring storyline. Doug makes me laugh in every episode, and Celia is a riot too. I agree that having her daughter kidnap her was ridiculous, but it should be a funny storyline next season with her.
Mary Louise Parker was on top of her game this season. I liked the episodes where she thought she was having a nervous breakdown, and the scene with ANdy in the last episode was so real. She finally realizes the difference between right and wrong, and her incompetence as a mother...but I'm sure she'll have a different attitude next season. There are so many dimensions to her. As far as Esteban is concerned, I do think she's really pregnant, but I see a miscarriage in the future. I don't think they'll bring a baby into the show, but who knows?

Okay somewhat off topic, but did anyone else realize that the show's creator, Jenji Kohan was a woman? I know it's not an issue but I had no clue.
"Esteban having a change of heart doesn't mean Nancy is safe from all his associates."
I find it hard to believe that they'd go against his will. Who knows what would happen to them if Esteban found out they'd done something to the mother of his child?
Anyone excited for the premiere tonight? Should there be a season five thread?
