This will be Pixar's first box office bomb since the beginning of time and it will be Pixar's last original movie for at least 4 years. Is Pixar going down the drain I'm really worried for its future. Also what is everyone's opinions on this movie?

They just released Inside Out a few months ago, which was a giant hit and most consider it either one of their best or the best Pixar film. I doubt they are concerned.

Pixar's Coco is scheduled for release 11/22/2017. Too early to tell if it's a "bomb", but a bomb for Pixar is not necessarily a bomb in the world of film, animated or otherwise. Not sure why anyone would be panicked over the performance of one film. Remember when doom and gloom were predicted over Cars, Cars 2, Brave and Monsters University? Good Dinosaur received stronger critical reviews than either Cars film and was pretty much on par with Brave and Monsters University. I see no cause for alarm whatsoever. I haven't seen it yet, but the consensus seems to be that the story is aimed at a younger audience, but the visuals are outstanding.

Can profits from one movie actually move to another to help ensure it doesn't bomb?

A film bombs or success in its own....but the company succeeds or fails over the long haul.

Why would you "worry" about them anyway?

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

The movie sucked but Pixar will be fine. Worst comes to worst, they just whore out 4 more Toy Story sequels.

I wasn't a fan of inside out, thoughtt is was one of the most manipulating films of the last few years, The Good Dinosaur was a mess from start too finish. I really don't think Pixar have done a good film since Monsters Inc. They really do need to take a break for at least five years, instead of churning out crap after crap

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Really? Monsters, Inc. was 2001. So you think Finding Nemo (03), The Incredibles (04), Ratatouille (2007), WALL-E (0, Up (09) Toy Story 3(2010) were all let-downs? I realize it may be your personal opinion..... but that seems a little hard to believe......

Pippin, I think Monsters Inc was the height of their success, Finding Nemo was ok. Can't begin to tell you how much I hated Toy Story 3. So yes sadly I did think the others where a major let down. But in that same time Disney has made some stunning films , Tangled etc

Seriously? You do know that's how movie studios fund future projects, right? They use box office profit to help fund the next movie that needs it... It's always bad when a movie bombs but film studios are financially "designed" to absorb those flops. Especially a profitable studio like PIXAR. They'll be more than fine.

The movie plot is disappointing and predictable. There is no development of characters in the movie.
