I thought I was going to be all sad, but this just kind of pissed me off. Yes, there were some very funny lines, but overall it was ALL OVER the place. I didn't think it was creative at all. It sure wasn't the Friends finale. Oh well, got my scrubs on! It's time for ER.

Well, um.

MAN I cried during the "Sex & The City" finale. Just cried and cried and cried. And Big's name turned out to be John!

Nothing beats the Friends finale. And dear lord why is ER still on the air?

Because I am the last person that still watches. It usually sucks, but every few episodes they give me my Kerry fix and all is well.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Newhart, and Sex & The City finales beat the Friends finale easily. Just sayin.

I guess I'm the only one who could tell from the promos that it was going to suck?

I watched reruns of So NoTORIous instead. Even though I'd already seen them.

I must agree about Sex & The City, but I haven't seen the rest. :/

I haven't watched the new ones since Season 4 or 5 I think. But it is my favourite sitcom ever and the old seasons have got me through many a day when I feel like crap.

The finale wasn't amazing, but there was some great moments. I cried during the duet and loved how the kids are getting married.

Even though I didn't watch the new ones, I will miss the security of the show still being on if that makes any sense.

I've only cried during one finale, Sex and The City.

I liked "Say Goodnight Gracie" better than the actual finale. But I have them both on tape. I wish it had been more like the old episodes; more funny stuff between Will and Grace. The whole forward in time thing was weird, def. not my favorite approach. Still I was glad to see Kevin Bacon and Leslie Jordan back.

I will miss this show... thank you, syndication!

I cried during Sex and the City as well as Friends.* Those people were my friends, man.

*Even though Friends did sort of blow

"I guess I'm the only one who could tell from the promos that it was going to suck?"

Um, yeah, no you were not. I started this thread out of deference to Dollypop who explained that a lot of people were "hurting" at the notion of the series ending. I have always maintained that the series was poorly written. For the first 15 minutes tonight I thought, well, maybe they got it together and wrote a coherent episode. But why would I think that? Of course it all fell apart.

I'm just sorry that the shows fans, who seem to cling to the show like an abused spouse, had any feelings left for the show that were still capable of being let down.

The first hour was fun. The actual episode was awful, but I didn't have any real expectations. I'm still sad that it's over..

Of pride, too, or just joy?

Pride. Not Joy. Pride and sentimental melancholy, I think.

The sad truth is that the first hour showed how much the show had declined. Good thing for the DVD collection.

I cried during the Friends finale. Hell, it started my sophmore year of high school. It really felt like saying goodbye to people I knew.

As for W&G, I thought they took the very easy way out. "Hey, let's skip a few years and have them both have kids. Let's skip a few more years and have the kids meet. Let's skip a few more and have them get married. Finally, it's like Will & Grace can get together. Oh and make sure we get look alikes!!!" Booooring.

I cried buckets during the Friends finale... I still do whenever I watch the dvd, I can't lie. Will & Grace left me pretty cold... and I used to love the show.

I wanted to see the clip of Jack leaving in a huff. That one's a classic, always been one of my favorites.

I cried during the Friends finale too. <3
