I agree with Jersey Girl. My favorite scenes were always with Karen and Beverly Leslie. When he showed up last night, I was thrilled. Although the story line about him suddenly loving Jack was farfetched, he always like Will, someone had to have all the money. I liked the ending. I did not see what was wrong with it. Will was with Vince and Grace was with leo the father of her baby. Showing how everyone aged except Karen was hysterical. And the two kids getting together was "fate". I liked the finale where all stay friends no matter what.

I thought killing Beverly Leslie off was a little, well, off.

It was a bit far-fetched, and I always liked him. I thought he and Bengy would last.

I'm waiting for Namo to tell me what I thought about the killing off of Beverly

Well in the storyline, the only way Jack can get rich and treat Karen to the lifestyle in which she was accustomed to was for Beverly to die and leave him all his money. Beverly Leslie would have never helped Karen with her money problems.

Considering how little time Vince was actually on the show, I'm surprised the writers had the audacity to have Will end up with Vince. It seemed like there was more love between Will and James (aka Taye) than there was between Will & Vince.

Not only that he ended up with Will but that they managed to get together and have a baby in about a year. That's just silly.

And what happened to Taye? The Sound of Music episode was the only one I saw this year. I heard he was marrying Grace, then he was gone. Where did he go?

And what of Jack's son, Elliot? I mean, if we're really going to talk about constructing families, and all.

And Craig, I'm all for anything that gives work to Flying by Foy. However, the whole Beverly Leslie thing was a stretch to make an unneeded role reversal for those two characters.

Why couldn't have Jack or Karen won the lottery..

Or what if Jack's father had a will they discovered and he was rich

And yeah - what about Elliot?

And even better still - why not have Jack and Karen write a sitcom and sell it to NBC for a huge advance about their disfunctional group. We all know Jack is an amazing erotica writer.

They really didn't need to manufacture a brand new 10 minute relationship with Beverly...

I think one of the BEST lines which stayed true to the series and characters is when Will commented on Grace having to pay for the wedding...

I liked it when Karen said Jack had the balls of a 30 year old.

I really liked the ending. I think that it is really how the writers envisioned what would happen in Will and Grace's life farther out. Rather than keeping them at the same age, it gave closure to what would happen to Will and Grace got older. The one thing that I didn't like is how it left NO room for a reunion episode.

On another note I have some questions, does anybody know when this was filmed, and does anybody have pictures of the set inStudio 17 where it was filmed? I have looked everywhere but I can't find it.

Also, it seems that the majority did not like how it ended. Well how would you like it to have ended instead? To bring closure to Will and Grace?

What is this American obsession with "closure?"

If you read the thread carefully there are ample suggestions for ways in which the finale could have improved upon the disjointed often non-sensical mess the series often was.

Instead, it stayed true to that spirit.

Neddy, my personal opinion is that Will & Grace should have learned that they complete each other and that they don't need to look to others for love. I hated that Vince & Leo broke up their dysfunctional friendship.

My favorite episode was the one where Will & Grace go to the Rainbow Room to celebrate Will's parents aniversary, and they give them the cruise and then they announce their divorcing and Will is devasted. Also its the one where Jack and Karen have to walk up all the stairs with the cake.

I'm gonna miss WILL & GRACE. The finale was sad, and the duet between Jack & Karen made me cry... I'll miss the show... It was hysterical. And I loved it.

Now time to buy the DVD sets!

When will they release seasons 5-8??? At least release season 5 now! I remember right after the Friends finale, they released all the DVDs into a boxed set. And I know that next week they will release the finale on DVD. But c'mon, where is season 5?

I never agreed with Namo that there was no reason for the four of them to be friends to begin with since sometimes they acted as though they didn't even like each other. I know of some relationships that thrive on dysfunction and nonsupport so I assumed the four leads had that sort of static relationship.

In the finale it became apparent that Will and Grace hadn't even kept in touch enough to know they had children attending the same college. So you were right and I was wrong, Namo.

But there are some episodes I absolutely loved. It was never a show that made me sentimental, but I appreciate the talent of the actors and the sometimes obvious hard work it took to work through those scripts.

some parts made me senitmental, like the episode where Grace and Leo went camping and it ended up raining, and Grace cried in the pumpkin patch and they kissed in the rain. loved that one.

but I think that they tried to take the Seinfeld approach to relationships (no hugging, no learning), but still with a little of the sentimentality that Friends had. I agree with the relationships of people being able to thrive on dysfunction. to me, that's what made the characters so endearing.

Wink, thanks for saying three of the most beautiful words in the English language: "you were right." My first favorite three are "want some cake?"

I agree Pippin, that the writers never had a consistent point of view, so they borrowed conflicting points of view from about a half dozen other shows. I believe the actors attempted to act friendships between those characters, but the scripts were of no help to them.

The comic exploration of dysfunctional relationships can be great. As venal as the Seinfeld gang could be, you could actually see the symbiosis that bound them. Same with Pats and Eddie on AbFab.

But the Will & Grace universe had no internal logic of its own for these folks to live in. How could the writers actually care about characters that some in the audience have invested eight years of viewing and then just have them let more than a decade pass without contact because they're "so busy?"

yeah, the character of Karen was very inconsistant. one day she loved Will, the next day she hated Will. then loved, then hated, and so on. I think it had to do with whatever influence she was on at the time!

however, the one liners are so freaking good, with amazing comic timing from Mullaly that you forgive the inconsistencies. at least I do.

The reason why Karen sometimes hated Will and sometimes loved Will was because they had a love/hate relationship. And those relationships are not a rarity.
