I recently mentioned that I have been wanting, for years, a very rare out-of-print Barbara Cook recording.
A fellow BWW'er - OUT OF THE BLUE - contacts me and sends me the most beautifully packaged cd of the recording.
He asked for nothing in return. He simply wanted to share it with someone who would appreciate it as much as he.
A real class act.
I was so moved, that I felt I had to share.

a fellow bww-er gave me tips last december on where to go and what to see and do in boston.
his advice made my birthday trip absolutly amazing :)

Actually, BFB, I agree with you. We have some real gems around here. But don't go spreading that around. We have a reputation to uphold as a bunch of diva queen bitches.

I really adore some of the people on this board.
I despise others, but for the most part yinz are pretty fantastic (and hysteical!)
Theatre is a safe place to do the unsafe things that need to be done.

A spectacularly fabulous person sent me a book about gay men and musical theater that I didn't even know existed. Also, out of the blue.

I agree, some people on here are amazing. And they have my exact tastes in theatre and humor. It doesn't get any better than that.

A poster here on BWW knew I was looking for a copy of the OBC Recording of LEADER OF THE PACK. I had mentioned it in a thread. A couple of weeks later the poster sends me a copy of the entire recording.
So yeah, there are a lot of lovely people on this message board.
