Yes there are.

Aw what a good thread. It really pulls the bitch out of you for a bit to reflect on how many sincere and wonderful posters there are who have been more than generous with others on here. We tip our hats to you for the kind gestures and every one of us has at least one class act individual who they will remember for that.

And the poster who received the LEADER OF THE PACK cast recording was kind enough to share it with me. I listen to it religiously now.

Hey, no one sent me anything! I don't even care if I get a show recording, I'll take candy or something.

I love this thread. Its true that there are some wonderful people on here. I'm sure many people remember my Flat Stanley project that I did with some student's last year. It was a huge hit thanks to the many wonderful people on here. Thank you again to everyone who helped out.

Did anybody send you one in front of the lion cage at the MGM in Vegas, KelRel? I saw a lady frantically trying to take a pic of a piece of paper in front of the cubs, and I thought "Flat Stanley."
I meant to ask you about it then, but forgot til now.

Kel---We were just talking about "Flat Stanley" yesterday! One of the women in "Cinderella" was also in "Nine" when we took all the pictures. That cast just thougth it was the coolest thing ever!
Ooh..and did you know Flat Stanley has his own musical? some theater around here is presenting it in their season.
And just to add....This is a great thread. I know it may be a naive view, but I tend to think that most people really are lovely deep down....

Namo, nope none from Vegas, but I got stuff from China, Australia, WA, NYC, NJ, CA, OH, PA, FL, GA, SC, Iraq, DC, and loads of other places I can't think of off the top of my head. I am planning on doing it again with my class this year, but now that I will have my own classroom and older students I will let them find people to send Flat Stanley to. I appreciate all the work people put into helping me and I don't want to impose on everyone again.
Speaking of my class, I am finally getting a chance to set my room up today. I'm getting ready to load up my car and go set things up. Its really exciting, but at the same time terrifying. I'm really going to be a teacher.

I also want to add my experience with the generosity on this board. I have received several cds and dvds from fellow BWW members. They know who they are and I want to thank them once again.

Many giving people at this board, unsolicited, very kindly inquire about the welfare, health and state of mind of others. Against all odds, and occasionally a considerable amount of evidence to the contrary, there is genuine humanity here.

I am so greatful to those of you who have sent the sheetmusic I have needed within days of me requesting it. I am really greatful for such a kind group of people.

There are indeed some wonderful people here !
A wonderful and beloved poster who I consider a friend, went out of his way to send me a signed souvenir brochure of Light in The Piazza, another gorgeous BWW legend was more than happy to get me something from the Flea Market (though to no avail, but she tried) and another one who doesn't post anymore converted some Tony Awards tapes to DVDs and sent them to me !
This is a board where you can actually make true friends ! Bless you all !
