Is Schmerg climbing trees again?
Okay, what? How did you figure out that I'm secretly a skunk ape? I've been trying so hard to conceal my identity online? Were you tipped off by my posts about "Censored Scenes From King Kong" and my constant refrain of 'he's hot' when shown pictures of apes?

Ok, I think it's a panther, as one person suggested.

About 3 organizations asked me to forward the picture to them. None of them replied with their opinions on what they thought it was.

But I showed it to one of the ushers at the theater. He used to live in Florida and told me that there were always panthers loose there. It makes sense because the thing was up in a tree, and cats can do that. Plus, I took a good look and the face is clearly like a panther.

Still scary. My mother is now afraid!

Joe, yep, it seems to have a panther's face. I wouldn't like to know a panther was loose in my neighborhood. I may tell my mother it's the skunk ape and it's afraid of people.

The "panther" has his head turned to the side, so his face is also sideways.You can easily find his nose by the white triangular shape in the middle of his face. Under that, he's got a thin line for his mouth, and his chin is highlighted under that.

i missed all the pics at the begining... can you post it un-zoomed? to me it looks really pixel-y when it's zoomed in and i'm really curious about it. cryptozoology (which is probably what this would fall under, not paranormal activity) has always been a hobby of mine and i find stuff like this fascinating.

on first glance i thought it was a bear, since that's what we see alot in CT, but i dont know if bears are common where the picture was taken.

Abba, It was in W. Palm Beach, FL. I was told by a friend who used to live there that it isn't uncommon to see a black panther around those parts. I'll post another picture, but it has to be a little zoomed. The photo was taken from quite a distance and at first, I just saw a black blotch until I zoomed in. You can't see any details if I don't zoom. But let me post another.

There are no known cases of black panthers or melanistic panthers in Florida. If it is a cat, it would have to be a melanistic bobcat which is pretty freakin rare.
