Not much really surprises me anymore when it comes to bigotry and small minded ignorance.
But this just raised the bar (or lowered it) to an all new level.
Sad. just. really. really. sad.
Us weeklycover with Elton John's baby censored.
It's like porno!
it's worse than porno!!!
it's gay.
And British.

Fortunately, though, you can still see that they are featuring an article about hookups at the Globes.
"Mommy, what's a hookup?"
They probably sold this week's EW in brown wrapping.
Like the OP said, few things surprise me when it comes to this type of thing, but how in the world can they justify doing that?
That cover is not offensive in any way.
Are we making a huge leap, based on a single photo? Couldn't have just as easily been an individual customer who moved the sign from another magazine to Us? Or even a single, narrow minded employee in that store? I'll hold off judgment until I get more info.
Looks like they were selling well. There are only two left!
The fact that the chain's PR rep refused to comment does make it sound as though it was the store's decision, though.
I expect we'll hear more.
My initial thought was just the opposite; I figured the PR rep needed to find out more info.
You may be right.
I guess I just figure that if you have to investigate whether or not your company is into discriminatory censorship, it doesn't bode well.
I'd be happy to be wrong, though.

Taz, did you see this photo? I can't stop giggling.
The silver fox bar tender is a good friend of mine. Known him since college!

From my experience in leather bars, I hope Kurt is a top.

Joe, Alec Mapa once said that he was nervous about being taken to his first leather bar. The friend who taking him turned to him at the door and said, "Ok, there are two things you need to know about before we go in: opera and cooking."

The second one on the left (clean shaven) makes me moist.
madbrian- Thats exaclty what I was thinking. There is no proof the chain ordered that sign to be put over that magazine.

Just out of curiosity did that photo of Chris Colfer cause the same outrage as the one of the girls with their lollipops and provocative poses?
No.
Because he had his clothes on and wasn't spread eagle.
It's outrageous, but considering where it happened, not surprising.
SoMMS, he looks like a ventriloquist's dummy. XD

Stagey - are you implying he has a hand up his butt?
Judging by his expression, more like two fists!
It's more like a "he just put the tip in" moment.
I think he's have a much different expression if it were two fists.
Talking from experience, Diva?
