You misunderstood your own post, I think. Every account confirms that the gun was pink. The only part that was in error was when the Raw Story thought the Hello Kitty guns were real.

Yes, but the rest of the article--apart from the link to the Hello Kitty guns--was accurate. A child is dead, shot with a pink gun he thought was a toy. A mistake on the part of the article writer doesn't make that event funny to me.
