You are SO passive aggressive, HG. Also rude.
This is Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, San Diego's first of two national cemeteries. Something over 120,000 heroes and their loved ones are buried here. It is now closed to but a few new burials. One of San Diego's most beautiful and emotional sites. We frequently walk here.
How do we feel about the US military attack on the boat off Venezuela? Four dead. Cold-blooded murder?
(Highland Guy, before you report me to the mods, bear in mind that the legality of this operation is legitimately disputed...)
At San Diego Harbor, there is a statue called "The Kiss" or sometimes "Unconditional Surrender". It is a recreation of a famous photo taken on VJ Day in Times Square. The statue stands near the USS Midway Museum. Both are popular tourist locations. People like to stand near the statue and have their pictures taken in a similar pose. I believe there is a statue like this at Pearl Harbor.
I have visited the USS Midway many times. There is much history on that ship. And the memory of thousands of brave military members who served and died on the ship. ALL HEROES.
Six more murdered today.
Honest question. How can we give a "thumbs up" to this?

I challenge anyone to defend these attacks without resorting to some version of "trust the government."
Major escalation in Latin America.
I can't give a thumbs up to this. Sorry, OP.
I'm genuinely interested in how HG might handle this if still a serving marine. Have personal qualms, but still just follow orders? Alas, HG blanks me, so perhaps some other kind soul could enquire.
DoD Instruction 1325.06 permits a service member to possess a single copy of this document.
Thanks. I read that when SteveSanders posted it, but just wondered well if it's that simple why do the ships ever leave port. Surely it doesn't take a legal degree to know that murder is wrong. How come they don't use the out clause they are provided with? Lack of faith in the military judiciary?
