So did you wind up getting his 'contact info' (read: home number, cell number, and condom of preference)?
10th is U2, yes. Let's do sushi on Friday or Saturday. Or Monday. Or Tuesday. Let's leave Sunday open - we're gonna blow a wad of dough for my birthday, bitch!
And speaking of bitches, where the hell did everyone go??

Where did everyone go?
Didn't you get the memo? Bitches are so passe.
And did I read correctly that Green Day are in Vancouver, and you're only considering going? Are you mental, woman? GO!
Lack of funds, is it?
'Tis indeed the lack of funds. Otherwise, I'd be at Green Day, Destiny's Child and Oasis next month.

i just saw green day on thursday... don't feel like going into details, but i enjoyed the concert and would definitely see them again.
Sivvie, where arrre you? Sivvie, where arrre you? Sivvie, chica, donde esta? Tu amiga esta yamando! Call. Me. Didja change your telemaphone number? Now it doesn't ring, just your voice mail picks up. Hon, I don't wanna book my flights until I know you're gonna be there! (Regardless of whether you can put me up for a few days!)
Beka, are their vocals good live? Did you buy any merch?
Broadway Legend Joined: 11/4/04
the merch was reasonably priced -- $25 for a shirt, but i didn't get anything. i wasn't that desparate that i needed to navigate the massive lines.
their vocals were very good. they had back up musicians -- 2 guitarists, a keyboardist, and a piano/saxaphone/trumpet player. the entire show was COMPLETELY anti-bush. it was hilarious. for example, when billie joe was introducing everyone, he introduced himself as george bush, and of course major booing ensued. billie joe is SUCH an entertainer. he got the audience involved with waves and cheers and stuff, and ran laps across the entire stage. they played everything you'd expect and did covers of 'shout' and 'we are the champions'. jimmy eat world opened. since the concert was outdoors there were tons of fireworks and stuff. aaand i think thats about it. if i remember i'll edit.
heyHEY
Nice. What seats did you have again?
Hi CQ!

I want to see Green Day! (Again!)
Fireworks? I got fireballs, but no fireworks.
Just for your and Billie's sake...balls of fire are usually a sign of a nasty STD. Just so you know.
Shub, are you still planning on flying to Sacramento to see Siv close Barefoot? And if you talk to her soon, could you please pass on the message that it's urgent for her to contact me ASAP? I'm going to book my flights this afternoon, and I'll have until tomorrow evening to finalize and pay for it, but my returning date might change depending on if she's gonna be there.
And for anyone in the know - Magnolia Bakery, yay or nay?
Tiffster!
Nay. Unless you have a slice of cake, but not a cupcake.
Kissipie! What are the prices for the cupcakes and cakes? Are the cakes as 'velvet-y' as the cupcakes?
I think the cupcakes are $1.75, and the cake slices are $4.25, The cakes are moister than the cupcakes. The cues are as dry as hell. And you get more variety with the cakes.
Okay then, perhaps you ladies can treat me to a Magnolia cake instead of a Payard cake for my birthday!
Question - Should I be miffed that my "good friends" (who, admittedly, I haven't had time to see since before I left for Europe) whom I invited to my convocation in June,
(in extending order)
a) brushed off my law school anxieties, understanding that law school was supposed to start for me this month;
b) blew off my convocation because they "didn't want to get out of bed that early", and;
c) have now forgotten I even graduated, because they just emailed me to ask if I wanted to do lunch with them on campus after my classes tomorrow???

Yes you should be miffed! You may regard them as good friends, but they sure don't seem to regard you that way.
I say eat their livers with a nice Chianti.
Fpt-fpt-fpt-fpt-fpt-fpt!
Seriously.
AND now that they're (okay, one of them) is prepping for the LSAT in October, she expects ME to listen to HER gripes and concerns about law school, when she couldn't extend the same courtesy or sympathy!
I hate my 'friends'.
You guys around? Or have I missed you all already?
Ellie should be back soon, and Mabel will be back around 10pm.
And I'm still here. Still.
Have you been to Magnolia Bakery?
And are you still game for a little party-hearty-ing when I'm in town? (Now that the flight is booked, 'when' just seems so much better than 'if'.) I'm still thinking the four of us (the fourth is interchangeable - either Siv or Ellie, depending on what's going on - or maybe we'll have five people!) should get a hotel room for us to hang out and crash after a big day of fun. It's just a matter of picking a date and a place.
Sure, that'd be FAAABULOUS. Maybe we'll party and get completely smashed Saturday night and then have a sushi feast and cocktails at the Marriott.
I haven't been to Magnolia, but everyone raves about the cupcakes.
Are we in the same place at the same time?

A hotel room? Have you won the lottery, Tiff?
I miss the heyday of this thread.

Me too, Ellie. We should get it back up and running. I'm out of housing, so I can't be on at all hours of the day, but I'll check in at night
