how embarassing.. did he get hurt.. I know that our pit was deep enough that I as well as several orchestra members would have been badly hurt..
yeah...he broke his arm. didn't hurt any of the orchestra members though.
that was post 100!
OUCH!! he lucked out that he only broke his arm..
wooo hooo 100 already??

Well, auditions for the spring term are coming up next week. They should be putting out the audition package soon. I'm just praying they decide to do another musical. I've been kicking myself for not trying out in the fall. You know, it's amazing how quickly I got hooked on theatre and performing! I've done two musicals, that's it, and I LOVE it!
The first time I was on stage singing for a crowd was when I was 4.. there are pics of me all throughout my childhood singing.. I haven't done a show since Summer 2003 and I miss it horribly.. I have just somehow gotten sucked into tech and stage management.. So I never have time to go an audition for shows.. I feel like I have sold my soul to this theatre company.. I was the hair designer and stylist for West Side Story over the summer.. Man that was a lot of work.. I wound up cutting all the guys hair (everyone in the cast) plus several of the ladies too.. Period shows kind of suck like that..
Now I wonder if I would even get cast in a show if I auditioned.. It's been so long..

Oh man, when I was young, some friends and I dressed up like the Spice Girls for a talent show and sang "Stop". I got to be Sporty because I was the only one who could hit the notes at the end (not like they're that high or anything... "Thank you very much, thank you very mu-u-u-uch"). Fun times. I've been singing forever though. My dad has a cassette tape of me singing some folk songs at a party, when I was about 2. I've never heard it, but I want to!
I think doing stage or tech work would be fun. But I know what you mean. It's hard to find the time, and to get back into it. Think positively, though! You'll get another show!
i'm sure you would.
i haven't been in a show since....Spring 2002....****!
But i've done a couple of student films.
is it bad that i'm not even TRYING to do the assignment?
I haven't been singing "musical" style since 03, it's been mainly choir. Whole different beast.. (have I mentioned I hate my choir?)
It seems that everytime I'm not "involved" in a show tech wise they come crying to me to help out in some way.. And I feel guilty telling them no.. it's like Wizard, god I didn't want to work on this show, but the production manager practically begged me because they didn't have anyone else.. and then at rehearsal Saturday the director looks at me and I kid you not tells me I "have to curl Dorothy's hair for the show".. she didn't even ask me if I would, not she siad I hvae to.. Last I checked I wasn't doing hair and makeup for this show. I was assistant stage managing/ running the back stage crew.. WTF.. Atleast I am skipping out on closing weekend though.. but I dont think she know this yet.. hahahaha
By the way BST ... YES that is bad!!!
i can't get it done by tomorrow.
the next time the class meets (after tomorrow) is Monday.
therefore, i should spend my time working on my apps, and do the assignment over the weekend.
see....it's logical.
Logical yes, however...
Instead of doing either you are here, playing...
Not that I'm complaining, but you shoudl probably go work
*staggers back online*
Tiff, I woudl ask if you are feeling better, but from the looks of it the answer would be know..
What's going on? why this feeling of impending doom?
Well I had a row with the parents and now it's come down to them kicking me outta the house (diplomatically put as "you're moving out") if I don't get into law school this year. And if I DO get into law school, they want me to pay for it on my own, which is what I've done for every year I've been in college (not to mention paid for my quarter of the rent, bills, the entire phone bill, etc.) and never asked for a dime from them to ever help me. But now the one time I need them, they're ditching me.
I can't say much other than that sucks.. I had my mother threaten to kick me out (of my grandmothers house mind you) because she didn't like the hours I was keeping and who I was keeping them with when I was 19/20.. I dont know your parents so I can't say if I honestly think they would do that to you or not.. I would hope not, but you never can tell..
I need to head home, but I will be on aim in about 30 minutes.. then you cant vent more.. If you need me sooner call my cell!

Oh.
This really gives me something to look forward to... I've got this year to finish, then another three, and then, who knows? I'll probably be in the same boat as you guys. But it has to get better, doesn't it?
