Listen Tiffifat-It's a rare occasion when you send in a pic & resume one night, and then you hear about the job the next morning! Now sit down and have some bacon
11:47am - Ate 4 large servings of fried rice.
11:56am - Contemplating between croissantwich or Doritos.
I sure showed THEM! Ha!
Oh my Jesus... TIFF! Get a grip!
At that rate you can audition for the sumo wrestler.
Tiff, you ignorant slut.
For some reason I just felt like saying that
I do have a grip, DD! A firm one! On my tummy roll. It's the only roll/role I'll get today!
I'm not feeling like Doritos. Maybe I'll wait a bit before that croissant. I'm feeling a bit ill. I seriously think that carb-binge sent a shock to my system.
(On the bright side, I haven't had a cigarette in TWO DAYS! So since the lung cancer won't kill me, the heart attack will.)
*in my best Cher with a costanadian accent impersonation*
SNAP OUT OF IT!
I am back - Tiff, you all done with your applications.
And, Jane was very kind and offered a friendly ear. By the time she did, I was so digusted with my friend and the situation, I could not bring myself to retell it one more time or go into any more detail.
Suffice it to say, a good friend, who knows him and is a nerologist told me some very harsh truths Sunday afternoon about what he has gotten himself into, and how helping now is only hurting. I have to let him fall, and hopefully, he will survive the fall and we can help him when he's ready.
Damn, where's a Vicodin when I need one.
Tiff - you done with your applications yet?

YWIW, that's probably good advice from your neurologist friend. There's really nothing more you can do now until he hits rock-bottom or chooses to get a grip - he won't be open to your support or advice until then.
...well...uh...I'm in the process of...I made a few...
*slinks away*
you're in the process of what? Ordering out?
"Finishing my cover letter and resume"...but since you mentioned ordering out...

GET TO WORK -
Him - I can't Nag
You, well missy that is a completley different subject.
NOW!
Or I will make you listen to the horror story of installing a new receiver at my mom's house for an early Birthday Mother's Day Gift!
NOW!
Sorry, C_O.
*crosses legs*
Gah, YWIW - okay, you win. Spare me the story! Spare me the story! Tell it to Jane!
He didn't say fish - for goodness sakes Tiff.
All I can say is my back has not been so contorted in many years, and back then, at least there was some reward at the end!
Speak up while you can-I leave for work in and hour and 1/2!
There is not much to the story - but I would rather hold it over Tiff's head to get her damn applications done.
Reader's Digest Version:
Stereo Cabinent is packed too tight - moving shelves and rewiring equipment in order to make everything fit - a holiday doll going off in the middle of it as if the place is possessed - and me with a bad back to begin with.
It all worked after about 2 hours.
Oy.
What I have to do since my dad died.
I see. So YWIW, can you come over here when you're done working there?
Perhaps if you pay the air fare!
For some reason, I am good with technical/electronics. I must have gotten that from my dad (nuclear physicist). My mom is pretty helpless when it comes to programming, installing, or even reading the damn directions.
I figured the gift of the Receiver without installing it was not much of a gift. Now, I just wish I had paid someone to do it. Man, she crams a lot of crap into one cabinet!
**saunters back in with In-n-out burger (protein style) in one hand and her RENT dvd in the other**
Cam, did you RENT that RENT DVD?
Mine will be coming from Amazon. It was only 16 bucks, so I figured, why not. Then I can figure out how and why Columbus screwed the movie up so bad!
It shouldn't take long to figure out.
Of course not Jane.. I refuse to pay rent on RENT..
That is true. I am more interesting in what was not on the original film than the film itself.
What a wasted opportunity . . . poor Rent, poor poor Rent.
