Hm... never had matzo anything. I did have some very yummy rugulagh for this first time this weekend.
As for those greeks...
I'm telling ya, DD (and Undi)..
Goldberg's Deli in Factoria (of ALL places) is THE BOMB when it comes to Matzo Ball Soup and all other deli delights :)
Hmmmm - perhaps I will do the Deli tonight. I have a Rib eye from last week, but perhaps that is destined for the freezer.
Good idea Fido man!

the day was rotten...
so, I didn't have lunch...and then my coworker I intro'd reminded me of how much she LOVED what we had when we drove to Goldberg's on Thursday, then I re-read my post, got hungrier, then read YWIW's and DG's..
and now, I'm ready to eat my shoe... I'm SO hungry :) !!!
Sorry about the bad day, Fido... shoe's are not very healthy, so make sure you have some roughage.
Yummmm. The soup looks good.
Roll and Rye Deli IS on the way home from work . . .
Watch out for the shoes Fido, the laces can leave a really bad aftertaste.
That's why I stick to loafers...
I put this in the U2 thread and I'm reposting it here. I'm trembling too much to type this all out again!
Anyway, I was going to go straight to bed, but I'm popping in because I staggered into my house all grumpy and exhausted from a long day of work, and what was waiting for me? Some big white envelope stuffed with junk mail from the University of Detroit Law School. I was all, "Kaplan is STILL spamming me???" And then I remembered - the University of Windsor's J.D./L.L.B. program is joint with University of Detroit. And that big package wasn't junk ads. It was forms for MY ACCEPTANCE!!!
And now I'm crying with happiness, and I don't REALLY care if I go or not - I'm just happy that I could if I wanted to!!!
And I am going to repost the gist of my response:
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I never doubted you would get in.
I am so happy for you.
Hopefully we can catch up in the next few day.
WAY TO GO TIFF!
Thanks, YWIW! I've gotta admit, I doubted I would get in; I never really doubted my abilities, but I doubted that my future potential in a legal career would ever be recognized by an admissions committee.
We've got to catch up! In the mean time, I've got to pry myself off the keyboard, shower and hit the sack! I swear my boss hates me - she's giving me all the ridiculously early call times. (5:00am? FIVE AM???)
Talk to you soon! I'm still totally in shock right now!
So, Tiffers... are you thinking of going to U of Windsor?
If it helps, I know NOTHING about the topography (not yet, at least), so you could turn left and right all day without any intervention from me
ahh... to sit with some shortbread and tea on a bench at Windsor's Coventry Gardens....
Yay!! Congrats Tiff.. I knew you would get into law school somewhere.. Now you get to decide if you want to go or not..
Hopefully the acceptance letters will keep coming..
I wish you a difficult decision on where to go..
Congratulations Tiff!
So...are you going? Are you going?
Yay Tiff!!! Congratulotions!!!
So will you be making a decision momentarily? Imminently? Soon?
thanks, YWIW! YAY TIFF! the future Star Jones of BWW! (God forbid). Congrats sweetie! I pmd you already when I got home~
Joining in the chorus of Congratulations to Tiff with a big HOORAY!
That is such exciting news! Well done!
...next time you're in NYC we'll pop a bottle of bubbly to celebrate!

Thanks for the well wishes, guys! I'm still really happy (and f*cking RELIEVED!) to be accepted somewhere, especially there. Only problem is the tuition is really expensive ($25k, and then I have to consider my car, laptop, room and cost of living - I know that's the norm for US colleges but I don't know how you do it!) and my originally joyful parents are saying there's no way they can afford to help me out if I choose to go there, and that I should ix-nay on the indsor-Way.
So everything is more uncertain than I thought it would be.
Can you get some sort of scholarship or gov. aid?
Yes Miss Tiff, but now, you really have to look inside to see if this is something you want, or are just doing because you think you should.
If it is something you really want to do, knowing you, you will find a way.
But, if I was starting in law school today I am not sure what I would do. I went to a public law school, and got out without owning a penny. Tuition back then was about $2,000 a year. Now, it is well more than $17,000, and that is for in state residents.
Good luck with whatever you decide Tiff. Just make sure it what you really want to do.

I can apply for a scholarship or bursary but apparently the maximum amount they give is $4k. (Isn't that pathetic??? I'm still then paying AT LEAST $21k/yr!!)
I'm still waffling. I just don't want a rehash of last year, where I woke up every day filled with regret and longing, wishing I'd applied at more colleges and jumped at the first chance I could get. I think I'll pay the $750 deposit and sit on it for a while.
That's a wise decision. When in doubt about something, don't do it. Most often, if you give it a little time, something will occur to help you make your decision.
