Than he would have a great suit if he were later exonerated

I had a friend years ago who was playing Mary P, and someone stabbed her with something like a hat pin.
She got fired for destroying her costume. She tried going after them, but Disney has bull dogs for lawyers and nothing ever came of it, except her losing her job.

broadwaystar2b - Thanks for letting me know! :)
Oh, and looking at the picture I noticed that the little baby in the right hand corner is watching the boy get punched by Tigger with a look like "WOOOOOOW!" haha.

Posted: 1/8/07 at 6:42pmMaybe Mickey, Minnie, Goofy & all the gang need to tell Disney to stuff it unless this person is reinstated if found innocent. Disney World without workers will be up a creek

I'd like to hear these "horror stories"
.
#56re: Tigger punches a kid
Posted: 1/8/07 at 10:05pmI saw the video on the news - I'm disgusted by these parents - that was CLEARLY an accident - and the idiots have it on TAPE showing it's an accident - they'd have a better case if that video disappeared!

On the news, someone was saying that the kid pulled on the back of Tigger's costume. The kid said he didn't but in the video, when Tigger starts to turn, the kid's arm goes with him, like he has ahold of him. My guess is that he was trying to get the kid off of him and accidently hit him in the face.
First molestation and now punching kids...what is next?! Daffy will be in rehab for heroin soon enough.

Posted: 1/9/07 at 4:40pmalright so I know that this is a slight bump but I just found out last night that i know the actor who was the tigger as he is a close relative of one of my best friends and when we went she introduced me to him. I didn't know that it was him and so didn't really pay attenition to this thread but last night my friend was really really upset and told me all about it and I rememberd this thread and she said that what happened was this sh*t head kid pulled his tail and I guess at Disney they teach them that if something like that happens to turn as he did and back away which he did but as is CLEAR from the video he was slightly off balance because the kid I guess pulled it quick and hard which sort of threw him off. IT was a complete accident and anyone with any doubts...I have met this guy and both he and his wife, another disney worker are the nicest sweetest people you will ever meet and would NEVER EVER intentionally hurt someone. I feel awful about the situation and just from seeing my friend and how hard it is for her. I guess he is in the process of becoming a nurse and if they go after him and win, he would have to give up being a nurse and theres so much more and just from the afternoon that i remember spending with them I remember hearing the horror stories about working for Disney so I'm nervous to hear what they are going to do to him. Now i get the sense that we are all on the same page but I want everyone to know that it was strictly an accident and this guy is the nicest sweetest guy! I couldn't believe that it was him when my friend told me about this.

Posted: 1/9/07 at 5:04pmDoes anyone recall the story about one of the original Mouseketeers suing Disney, as an adult, after a trip the park because one of her children saw a costume character without its head?!?

Again, this sort of thing happened back when I was working there. A family got arrested for shoplifting and was brought backstage by security. They tried to sue saying their kids saw characters walking around without their heads on and 'with some sort of breathing device which made them look like skull heads'. The case was thrown out.
Once you are backstage, all bets are off, be it that you were arrested, seeing the doctor or making a statement about getting mugged.

I've worked in a big disgusting costume at a theme park, and the parents are always worse than the kids. It was clearly an accident, but the parents have no consideration for the people working. Yet the employees have to kiss ass anyway.
for those wondering , I was Foghorn Leghorn at Six Flags
I could imagine how worse it is at Disney.
At Six Flags the costume characters get treated like dirt. No matter what happens to the people inside the costumes, the supervisors bend over backwards stressing over the costumes.
"My arm's falling off"
"YOU DIDN'T BLEED IN THE COSTUME DID YOU?! DID YOU BRUSH YOUR COSTUME?! WHY DIDN'T YOU DO A SHOW?!" blah blah blah
Sorry for the caps, but that's how they are.

Posted: 1/10/07 at 12:40amYeah, I have a friend who was fired by Disney for not coming into work once... except she was never called for work that day.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride.
I love you because I know no other way than this.
I believe in fate
But it's up to us to follow through

I just watched the interview online at cbs.com, and I couldn't believe what I was hearing from the family. It's so obvious from the video that the guy in the costume reacted to something the kid was doing behind his back and lost his balance (and I'm sure tons of people noticed the smirk on the kid's face. He doesn't exactly look like a little angel to me). The father acted like a total a**hole, saying how "everything's just been a blur" since it happened, and insisting that it ruined their vactation.
What's worse is the way Hannah Storm conducted the interview. She implied that the family did nothing wrong and that the kid was some kind of victim of senseless violence. I feel sorry for the guy in the costume, since he will probably be fired. I used to work at my local Six Flags, and I heard tons of horror stories about how the costume characters were abused by kids.

Because "Tigger Punches A Kid" makes for a better headline than "Teen Does Something Stupid".
As a matter of fact, the second headline would be in the paper every day if folks gave a damn about what teens were doing these days.

I finally got to see the video.....GOD! IT'S SO CLEAR THAT HE WAS MESSING WITH THE GUY IN THE COSTUME! If they win this case it's total bull ****.
You can look at their faces in this picture and tell that they are lying. See how the boy reacts to his questions: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/01/08/earlyshow/main2335628.shtml?CMP=ILC-SearchStories
I'm just so pissed that a nice guy is going to lose his job all because of a dumb punk who was being an ass.
