Please, that's nothing compared to what the kids do to the characters
I have a friend who was a "Friend of Rafiki" and he has more than a few horror stories about some little brats who would try to get his "head" off
And it's clear by that video that Tigger was losing his balance!

when this happened last time, wasnt it the Tigger costume as well?
OT: when i worked @ DisneyWorld, & we wanted to comment on cute guys to each other, the code was Shirley Temple's line to Walt @ The Oscars: "Its so bright & shiny, Mr. Disney!"

The stupid vid won't work for me so I can't really comment on if it was on purpose or not but I do have an off-topic question: how hard is it to get one of those jobs in the costume?

Even the dad presumed the kid was bothering Tigger (until he saw money...I mean, the video). It looks like the kid is trying to unzip the costume, to me.
I, for one, think this is REALLY funny. Is the boy really in lots of pain? Will he never recover? Can he just never watch another Pooh tv show again? How sad.

Posted: 1/8/07 at 9:36amYou know, there was another case on 'Tigger' about two years ago about someone in a Tigger costume at WDW gropping a woman....Tigger is mean....
#31re: Tigger punches a kid
Posted: 1/8/07 at 9:59amIt is funny, but it really sucks for this actor who's probably being paid minimum wage to stand in 90 degree weather in this fur costume. He's just doing his freakin' job.

I saw this about 30 times on the news this morning.
Looks like an accident to me. It also looks like the little brat was messing with Tigger - either pulling his tail, or trying to undo his costume.
Tigger appears to have tried to tap the kid on the arm, lost his balance, and accidently clocked the kid in the face.
There's no way, from what I can see, that this was intentional.

The curl in her lips. The ice in her stair. The innocent children better beware. She's like a spider waiting
for the kill. Look out for Cruella De Vil.

Drunky, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse are not married. During my tenure with Buena Vista Television at the Walt Disney Studios, I once had a press release sent back to me because I had written "Mickey and Minnie Mouse," which implied marriage. They are always referred to as "Mickey and Minnie" or "Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse."
Interestingly, at the time, the voice actors playing Mickey and Minnie were married.

They still are! Russi Taylor and...um...Wayne-something, I think.
How many years has it been? 80? And still no ring? Adelaide has nothing on Minnie.

This is so ridiculous.....and did you notice that it appears the kid then "clocks" Tigger in the head?
The dad is so darn serious..."Everyone has apologized except Tigger"....it's too funny!
I had a friend who was a "friend" of Tigger, and she said that there were certain events and dates when they didn't even allow Tigger out in the park because for some odd reason, teenage boys and young men like to beat him up. Tigger was never around on any of the college or high school nights.

Wayne Allwine, Calvin :) Isn't that cute?
Hey, has anyone seen the video on that site with the little kid screaming in abject terror at the sight of Eeyore? Hilarious.

"...because for some odd reason, teenage boys and young men like to beat him up."
I'll tell you why...because Tigger is gay.

During Gay Disney, they no longer allow Peter Pan or Prince Charming to walk through the park unescorted.
And all I did was invite them to dinner...

NLS, auditioning to be a character at Walt Disney World is similiar to an open cattle call
You go to a huge audition and the very first thing they do is measure you without your shoes on (every character is in a specific height group so this is to determine who'll you'll be playing if you get cast)
You learn a simple dance combination and preform it along with an improved mime to a theme (when I tried out, the theme was going to an awards show). If they like you, the "callbacks" are either a mini-puppetry workshop or you may be sent to the cosmotology department to be made up into a face character (i.e. a princess, Peter Pan, etc.) They may also determine if you are eligible for attractions such as "The Great Movie Ride" or "The Jungle Cruise" from your audition.

The reason guys like to beat up on Tigger is because he bounces. It's hard to describe, but because of the bouncing, guests think he's bobbing like a prize fighter.
Also. The tail of the costume (back in my day) was a solid piece of steel attached to a steel plat that rested on your lower back with a belt that goes around the waist. If someone wanted to do damage to the person in the costume, all they have to do it lift up, or pull back/down on the tail. I can completley throw off your center of balance.

I bet some families take their kids to Disney World hoping that something like this will happen.
No wonder we are the most litigious society in the world. Just call 1 800 - Ambulance Chaser
