my brother went to high school with a family of kids who all had La in front of their names: LaDonna, LaMont, Laverne, Lavincent -- they were a somewhat, inbred, toothless lot -- think DELIVERANCE -- so the LA thing doesn't have quite the fascination for me. the indian way is to put Shri in front of a name and if you're extra fabulous you get two or three of them. so perhaps i will be Shri-GiGi, which is not too far from my actual name.
