Do you know anything about Islam? I mean really? Do any google search you will find tons of links to Gay Muslim. You are right saying that they are not supported (today), it does not mean that Gay men don’t exist or even existed. There is a rich Islamic history, and one that even predates the faith. Islamic has a very interesting homosexual history. Read, there are books.

I go to a 3-hour meeting at work this afternoon and come back to find this thread totally jacked.
For the record, I am a proud, flamboyant GAY-acting GAY--except when I wear a suit for work or butch it up and wear leather (but that's another threadjack).
I am proudly Jewish, secular and humanist--and left-wing, too, except that I think the leftist defense of fundamentalist Islam has been as wrongheaded a mistake as was the leftist defense of Stalin.
IMHO, ALL fundamentalist religions--Islam, Christianity and Judaism ALIKE--are the causes of all or almost all the evil in the world today.
It drives PapaLovesMambo crazy that I lump fundamentalist Christianists in with Fundamentalist Islamists, but if they are of the hate-preaching wing of their religion, they are evil. I lump them all with them the ultra-right-wing of Israel too. I hate hate and the people who preach it.
And I am often accused here of being a fundamentalist Democrat, but secretly I'm not. I've always been very critical of the Democratic Party. But since the Republicans have become FUNDAMENTALIST REPUBLICANS, I just want them out, because I think they've destroyed what is best about America. They've spread hatred too.
And mejust--you know I love you--your passion, your fervor, your chocolate-drop nipples and your uncut, um, "oye"--but when you start in on the "Jews-controlling-the-media" stuff, you go from criticizing Israel to spreading Jew-hatred. You don't want to hear it but you do.

I don't spread Jew-hatred and I'm sorry if someone isn't educated enough to understand my point of view. In our country it is seemingly impossible to openly criticize Pro-Israeli policy. If you go to Israel or even read an Israeli newspaper you will see the same criticism that I offer. For some reason it's not kosher in the states. Though we can criticize any other government. It is not hate. I don't hate Israel and I firmly believe in its existence. I also believe that peace is possible in the Middle East and there may one day be an end to the conflict there.

If you don't believe something I've posted and it is not an opinion of mine then show me the truth because I want to know. You can blast my opinions all you want, but be ready for me to throw factual information back at your stance. Mostly I post facts and news articles (which are not facts). Please go ahead and fact check my stuff. I definitely do yours. I will admit or concede if I’m wrong. Though no one on here ever seems to do that with me, never 100%.
If you have questions about Islam send them my way. I hopefully can get information to you that would be helpful. If Islamic fascists are indeed your enemy you should know everything you can about them. It’s important.

really.....hmm, while almost every Arab nation has a death-penalty for the crime of practicing homosexuality, I can think of not one Jewish, Hindu, or Buddhist nation has such a law on its books. And as there are no official Christian nations, I cannot respond to that.
In Arab countries if you are caught having sex with the same sex as yourself, you are killed, period end.
This does not happen in India, Taiwan, or Israel. This does not happen in Spain. The facts speak for themselves.
I don't get the whole "gay muslim" thing...I mean that would be like me being a Jewish Nazi.........makes no sense.
