re: Tom Cruise/Scientology/Brooke Shields and post-partum depression

"funny all his philosophy and vitamins and fame and money couldn't keep him happy with Mimi, Nicole, or Penelope...but he knows what Brooke should be doing... " Couldn't have said it better myself..Mr. Compassionate who files for divorce right before a 10 year deadline which would have resulted in him losing lots of money he'll never be able to spend in his lifetime.

Funny how to show his "caring" for Brooke, Tom chose to use an entertainment show to express this...rather than writing her a personal note, or something more appropriate. He is increasingly trying to advance his Scientology agenda, and I agree with everyone who has said, unless you have given birth and are suffering from post-partum depressing, you should keep your "caring" comments to yourself. I will completely avoid his movies from now on, which considering the ones he's made lately (Uh, Mission: Impossible 3??) should be really easy.

Tom, write a note? Who says he can write? Oh, sure, Scientology "cured" him of his dyslexia with its patented religious "tech" but something tells me he's rather low literacy.

(The tech is, by the way, if you come to a word you don't know, look it up.)

"Scientology, his religion, one aspect of which teaches that Xenu, an extraterrestrial, brought aliens to earth and exterminated them with hydrogen bombs but their souls stuck to the bodies of humans."

Good lord, that's what Scientology is? I would have thought they were all already indulging in the mind-altering drugs. I tried to google it, but the parental controls on my family's computer blocked it, because Norton Firewall classifies it as "occult". Heh.

I read Brooke's response to his comments online the other day, and she became my new favorite person. That's the most appropriate response to someone divulging into your personal life on national TV: Mind your own business. I love how suddenly everything in Tom's life is a drama and he has to be on all these TV shows talking about everything but the movie he's pretending not to promote.

I was originally going to see War of the Worlds, because I like the book, but now I just want to buy a bootleg DVD or something just to spite him.

wow. suddenly being agnostic feels really normal.
How is it Nicole Kidman allows her children to be Scientologists?

There was a rumor that the reason Tom divorced Nicole was because she took them to Church.

And the bitch slapping continues

And Shields has continued her war of words against Cruise following his "dangerous" comments, by offering him a child ticket so he can take Holmes to see her in hit London musical Chicago.

I gotta say, I'm loving Brooke Shields for this.

I also saw Brooke's comments on IMDB. Fabulous!!! You go, Brooke!

Oh yeah, I'm pulling it back up, bitches! re: Tom Cruise/Scientology/Brooke Shields and post-partum depression

Leah Remini made these comments on E.T. tonight:

"I was very disturbed when I saw that interview with Brooke Shields, I mean because I personally didn't have those feelings about my daughter. I wouldn't trust somebody who had those feelings 100 percent with a child. Do I think she needed help? Yes. Do I think taking a pill for something that deep, that dark, is the answer? No. I got through it. I didn't get through it by taking a pill." - Leah Remini

Leah is, of course, a Scientologist. You can tell by that "something missing" sheen that many practictioners develop around the eyeballs. It's funny, given that Scientology has personally helped her with so many "wins," (that's Scieno speak for successes) and yet, and yet, she's a chainsmoker. I would think that that would count as a chemical dependency. But so many of these calm, cool, collected and clear Scientologists smoke like chimneys. Isn't that right, Kirstie?

Am I wrong, or did she contradict herself here?

This site has a list of celebrities who practice Scientology. I found one in particular to be quite disturbing:

Oh Leah, say it ain't so. I hate it when you're a fan of someone, and then you read or hear something about them that makes you instantly not a fan.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson
